Attractions that pleasantly suprised...

Peter Pan's Flight, SpaceShip Earth, Haunted Mansion (which is now one of my MOST FAVORITES) and OnE Man's Dream!!

I didn't know very much about Turtle Talk With Crush when I lined up for it.

I was so delighted with the show that I came out of there all misty-eyed. I had to see it twice to find out for myself that every show is different.

LaraK - The gift shop you speak of I think is called "Mouse Gears".

I would have been crushed. I look forward to TSI every trip. I've even done the early-morning paintbrush search. (If you haven't done it, definitely try it on the next trip. Such fun, and a good break if you've done early mornings, as I think TSI opens at 10 a.m.)

I'm going to have to make it a priority next time and be there at 10. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it back to visit on our last trip. My son just mentioned yesterday what a bummer that was.

It was an adventure in itself though trying to load as many people as possible on the raft to clear the island. We were very close to being stranded on the island. It was interesting to see they definitely had procedures set up to handle the situation. There was a lot of conversation on radios and such to see how close the lighting was getting.

We love the Carousel of Progess. It's cute and hokey and hearkens back to the days of "The Wonderful World of Disney".

I think Carousel of Progress is really charming! DD (13 at the time) insisted we go on. She loved it, too, and was thrilled to hear that it is still open. She's in her School production of "Our Town" and the technical director told her that one of the scenes is representative of "Our Town". I can't remember what the scenes entailed, but she can't wait to go on again!

:thanks:

That's the one! It has that cool gear thing inside that moves every so often. It also has things I haven't found anywhere else. My DD still plays with the mini-princesses we got there a couple of years ago (real cloth dresses, the plastic/rubber ones) :thanks:

Mickey's Philharmagic.

I really wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be one of my favorite MK attractions, and easily my favorite 3D film. The in-theater effects are great, and they picked the absolute top Disney songs to feature.

It usually hits me around the time Ariel is singing...this is one great frickin' attraction.

I also love Carousel of Progress. It's great to see something that is a piece of history. If you had been at the New York World's Fair, you would understand.
