I have been checking the IOA and US sites about their rides. It seems like the majority of the children's rides require the ability to hold on which is something my 4 yr old is unable to do. He's also in a wheelchair which rules out the playgrounds (or does it?). Is there anything at either park for him? Karen

Go to this link:
ADA information for Universal Studios/IoA

Click on: "Rider's Guide for Rider Safety and Guests with Disabilities". (It's about halfway down the page)

Page 9 in the Riders Guide will answer most of your questions. It lists the rides that your child can do and actually stay in his wheelchair during the ride. If he is not able to hold on, those rides would most likely be the ones that he could do. There is also stationary seating on some rides like Jimmy Neutron and Shrek.

I would read the rider's guide and then, if the information is vague, we can most likely answer questions about specific rides/shows. There is also a disabilities forum on the DisBoard that can also help you plan out your visit. Feel free to ask questions or voice concerns both here and on the disABILITY board. Here is the link to that forum also: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20

USF/IOA is very accommodating. If you're unsure about any attractions, just ask one of the TMs. :)
