We will be traveling to WDW again in July & DS will be 14 1/2 mos. We took him when he was 7 1/2 mos this past Nov. Last trip we mostly did things we wanted to do & took him on the ride if it was something he could go on. So we skipped things like dumbo & Aladdin carpets b/c he didn’t care enough for us to ride those rides that we usually don’t ride. I’m interested in what attractions ppl might suggest we try this trip that he might enjoy now that he’s older or should I expect it’ll be similar to our first experience?

I'd again just do whatever you like doing that he can do.
If you'd like to take him on Dumbo then certainly do it but at 14mos he's still not really gonna know what he's missing.
I bet his reaction to attractions will be more exciting this time around though.

On our November trip DD was a month younger than your DS will be ( 13 1/2 months) and on our February trip she was 16 months. Both trips she LOVED Dumbo and the play area inside. My DS10 and I both went up in it with her....she never wanted to leave! She also loved Aladdin's carpet Ride, Swiss family treehouse ( she has loved stairs since 11 months) , jungle cruise, the carousel, little mermaid( but she loves princesses), loved buzz light year. In Epcot Nemo was eh, but the aquarium was a huge hit for her, Frozen was great and first, then at the turn with the snow monster not so great. AK was great, she loves animals and lived triceratops spin. She was tall enough at 16 months to do Alien swirling saucer at HS and loved it, but didn't like Toy story ride.
My DD is way more adventurous than DS was, and very social. She loved dancing to any music playing and saying hi to EVERYONE that passes us. 6 months was much easier for me than her 13 month old trip, but the 16 month old trip went smoothly....you all are going to have a great time again! We still didn't so Night time shows :( and kept to her schedule. She watched the MK fireworks from the room for about 6 minutes a couple of nights, that's the extent of our night time activities though. Have a magical second trip with your baby boy!
Edited to add on my DD 6 month old trip pirates didn't scare her, but she cried on both the 13 month and 16 month old trips on that ride.
At 6 months and 9 months we did what we/ DS (then 9) wanted. On her last two trips though, ( 13 and 16 months) she loved rides and definitely wanted to participate in going on them. Huge change after she turned 1, so I would expect DS to really love it this time!

Great! Thank you so much! The bolded sounds like DS now. We definitely plan to keep his schedule & won’t be seeing any night shows. We kept his sleeping schedule last trip & that was absolutely worth it!

Be flexible, my 20 month old hated every ride we went on so I just stopped trying. But all kids are not the same. Start low and work your way up.

She tried to claw her way out of dumbo...I've never had a scary Dumbo ride until that one. :drinking::drinking::drinking:

At 14 months I would keep a similar plan. Do what you are interested in; he won't know what he did or didn't miss. Dumbo and the Aladdin carpets can be hit or miss for babies. There isn't as much to watch or a music soundtrack like on a dark ride (Peter Pan, LM, Small World, etc) and sometimes little ones don't like the sensation of being confined in the ride vehicle that goes up and down and spins around. Those rides were my son's least favorite. He tolerated them, but barely.

We first took my DS when he was 13 months old. He was more interested in walking around than anything else WDW had to offer - and he was terrified of the characters. I would go, get a feel for what is attracting your child's interest and go from there.
