Hi Kristy,
I keep everything. I've only been scrapping for about three years, but i've been known to scrap even my receipts! Grab an extra of each park map for your books, take pictures of ANYTHING.
For ideas, I always go to Twopeasinabucket.com
They have tons and tons of Disney ideas as well as everything else you can think of.
Welcome to the addictive world of scrapping. Check out the scrapping threads on this board!

Check out some of my favorite sites for ideas and shopping:

4everscrappin.com (having a big sale this weekend)

thesavvyscrapper.com (great ideas)

Keep it simple at first...don't be overwhelmed by all the ideas and products out there. Start SIMPLE until you get the hang of it. I agree, keep everything, grab a set of park maps that you don't use and can include in your scrapbook. Keep receipts, park passes, unused fast passes.

Congrats on taking the scrapbooking plunge.

Collect anything and everything! You never know what you'll end up wanting to put in your scrapbook! I've taken cardboard coasters from excursions on the Disney cruise to brochures to napkins to... well, you name it, I've probably taken it! It just adds such character to your book because it's something related to what you're scrapping. It doesn't matter if you're creative or lacking creativity. You'll be surprise how quickly you learn to do things and see the pages with a more creative eye. And hey, as long as you like how it comes out, that's all that matters!

Also, craft stores like A.C. Moore and Joanne's have great Disney scrapbooking accessories. I've spent small fortunes in both of those stores!

If you have a Creative Memories consultant in your area, you could have a party, get your friends involved, earn some free products and learn at the same time! I started scrapping about 8 yrs ago, but really just got back into it again the past year. I'm always looking for page layout ideas!! I just went to a crop party this past weekend my consultant was having. They had a 7 x 7 Disney album (it's red with a black Mickey icon in the bottom right corner) and something called the Disney snap pack, which contains stickers, die cuts, coordinating paper, etc. I bought both for our upcoming trip--thought it would make a good memory book for the boys with the character meals! :flower: You could also try Creative Memories online and see if they have anything you're interested in. Good luck!

Some firends and I are just finishing up a scarpbook for a co-worker who just retired. It looks so good! I've never done scrapping before (I was too intimidated, since I'm not really the creative/artistic type). It was a lot of fine. One of the girls had a kit from Creative Memories. Lots of neat stuff.
So now I caught the bug. Can wait to start working on my 1st scrapbook!

I bought a kit at Disney in the marketplace last trip - but couldn't quite get the hang of it! So I ended up putting all my photos in a normal album ad then sticking the stickers on it :0) Looks good but not a scrap book - maybe I'll try again for my wedding trip this year...

I'm going to check out some of the sites you've all suggested...

I've been scrapbooking for six years now, and I just came back from my own Disney trip. I have a few suggestions for photos:

(1) Take pictures of signs. This way you may be able to organize your pictures into some of the various "lands." You can also use some of the signs for headings.

(2) Take more than one picture of important things. My DS is 6 years old, and I tried to take more than one photo as he was getting autographs. I snapped away as the autograph was being signed. I was glad I did this because my posed picture of Cinderella turned out blurry.

(3) Go for postcards to mix in with your photos. For example, we had lunch at the Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters, and I purchased a Pooh postcard. I did find it difficult, however, to find Disney-MGM Studio postcards.

(4) Make sure YOU are in some of the pictures. It's horrible when you go to scrap the pages, and you are not there.

(5) Give someone (a child) a disposable camera to get a "different perspective."

(6) And lastly, I agree with the others in that you need to save everything. Collect extra maps and such, and take a big plastic bag to place your stuff in at the end of the day before they get messed up. I even save our wrist bands for Extra Magic Hours!

I LOVE Creating Keepsakes magazine and they have a special issue just for Disney vacations. I have seen a few copies of it on ebay today, but you could also get it from www.creatingkeepsakes.com. They have wonderful ideas and cute pages that will help you to see what kinds of photos you would like to take for your pages. I have this magazine and love to use it to help with my Disney layouts. There are a lot of Disney scrapbook supplies out right now, check out your local scrapbook store. If all else fells I am sure you can find a lot of cool items on ebay. Hope this helps. :wave2:
