I know what you mean about all the pictures. I think I have 1500 or more from December, but am still working on the Hawaiian ones.

Ok. Here are few pictures of the race...

The start line...if you squint, you can see the white sign for the start...ok not really, but it is there...I was pretty far away...this was taken at 5:30 am or so...

12,000 of my closest friends shuffling to the start...really. It was cold, but we were all so close together it felt warm... LOL

Back stage in the Magic Kingdom...see the castle?

The only time I stopped. I thought it was important enough to get my picture. I high fived the mayor...saw someone get engaged...it was all quite magical. It needed a picture...

Mile 6 (or almost half way) was right as you go into Liberty Square. Who knew it was so hard to run and take pictures?? LOL

Almost done. These folks were behind me as we went up and over an overpass into EPCOT.

From this point on, we were almost done. The problem was, it was about a mile to the end, but every volunteer was saying that it was a half mile - the entire time. Made the last mile very long...

I think I started to cry when I saw this sign...the finish was right around the corner...

Hey look...I just noticed Lilo and Stitch...didn't notice them at the time...I just was focused on the finish line...3 hours, 12 minutes was my chip time and my clock time is shown. Because I was crying every medical person asked me if I was ok. I was.

There they are. My race. It was a wonderful experience and I hope that I can do it again...2010, here I come...now if only I can convince DH...

WOW Mickster! I am so incredibly proud of you!!!!! Good for you for doing it and finishing it! I could never have done it. You will always have those great memories. Thanks for sharing it with us and the pics were great!

You would be surprised. I bet you could do it. I really wasn't sure I could do it. Someday, I'd love to run it...but for now, I am so happy with the race.

Great photos!!! PJ said we can shave that 20 minutes off no problem... She said you did a great job taking photos and running..she is going to see if her XC coach will let her do that this year... LOL Actually she said she wishes she could because some of the course have beautiful sights (not as good as Disney).....

Great photos!! I would have been in tears too.. Actually, I'm the sentimental one anyway and was tearing up reading your report!!! The photos let you live the moment!! And a big thank you to the volunt"ear" that point out Mile #6!!
