Hi all! I got an invite to a National Scrapbook Day being held @
Sheraton L.I. Hotel in Smithtown/Hauppauge.
It's from 8 am to 6pm and cost $50.00 a person. (after Feb 12 it's $60 then $75 @ the door.)
Saturday March 12th.
Anyone ever attend one of these?
It sounds like fun and think I'm going. But nervouse cause none of my friends can make it. Was hoping someone from here was attending, or interested in attending.

I can email invite to anyone who wants it.

Thanks for the invite but I will be away that week....I met someone in the Holbrook/Patchogue Michaels that said there was a very nice scrap store up by the Smithaven Mall - do you know it?

No I'm not familiar. But I can find out from you from one of the gals that lives in that area. Here in Nassau County , my LSS (Scrapbook Cottage) and Michael's are actually in the same shopping center! And AC Moore 1/2 mile down the road!

The Sheraton is 15 min. from me, but I have 3 different things going on that day and will not be able to go

The LSS near the Smithaven Mall is Scrapaway and the woman who owns it is very nice. It is small, but she has a nice selection of paper. It is on Rt 347 in the same shopping center as the Loews Theater and Red Lobster. She holds an all day crop once a month, and has classes during the week.

How could I find out about a scrapbook event in my homestate? Are there possibly events in other places for National Scrapbook Day?

Grayfal, I have the fall schedule here and for the all day crops it is $45 and includes: "cold lunch, hot dinner, goody bags, great prizes and of course, delicious chocolates". They are from noon to midnight. Also you get 10% off merchandise during the crops and classes. You can get e-mail updates from them if you send your e-mail address to scrapaway@aol.com.
