Don't forget that as Georgia Residents, you qualify for the Flordia Resident rate. This maybe old news. As a Georgia resident, I have complained about the lack of a GA resident rate for many years.

How can we find out for sure that Georgia residents can get the discounted rates like Florida residents? Sounds too good to be true!! Is this just for Universal or is it also for Disney World?

I know it's true at Universal for sure.

The florida resident discounts apply only to Universal. Disney still does not feel like Georgians deserve it. lol

Thanks for this information. I was quoted a rate of $224 for the Hard Rock with no all access or entertainment rate available. I got the GA/FLA rate of $183 a night. Still too much in my opinion, but I would rather splurge to stay on site at universal than at Disney. Does the discount apply to tickets as well?

Yes, Georgia counts for 11% of all visitors to the Orlando area which is incredible considering that's just one state out of the other 49! The proximity makes it a major market hence the Georgia resident deals.

I always ask for Ga/Fla rates and sometimes the reservations have to check with their supervisors but they always come back with an okay!

Note, Ga residents, to remember to bring your Ga license with you for identification. I took advantage of a ticket deal a couple of years ago and they wanted proof of residency. Kids do not have to show any, of course.
