DisneyKevin - THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!! Outlander is my absolute favorite book of all time. I've read the entire series but Outlander stole my heart from the very beginning. I've just gone to Amazon and downloaded the book to my new phone. You have made my day, heck possibly my entire month!

Just checked my phone - the book downloaded. Now while we're flying to FL in January I can immerse myself in my book and not worry about flying!

Not sure if I'd like this or not. I know there is talk of a movie someday and I'm not sure about that either! I loved the books so much, I'm afraid a movie wouldn't do the story justice. And how do you fit all the books in!

Angela - I have heard rumors about making a movie but I agree with you - how would they fit all the books in? It would have to be more like the Twilight books or Harry Potter. Several movies would be the only way it could work. I'm not sure though if I'd like it or not. We all have our own thoughts on how the characters look and I don't know if I'd agree with some casting director's decision. I mean really - Jamie is amazing, who would play him?

You can bet though that I'll be watching Amazon more closely now in case they offer any of the other books in the series as a free download.

If you go to youtube and search Outlander there are a ton of fan submissions for their choices. Interesting how everybody sees the characters differently.

Love Outlander!!! I am currently listening to Drums of Autumn (okay, I am slowly listening to it). GREAT series! Very unique and interesting.

Edited to say, if you are looking for your next book club book Outlander is a great one. As others have said, it is long - but there is SO much to discuss.

An excellent book!!! And now I can put it on my Kindle to reread!!!

But beware, you are gonna want to read the rest of the series if you start the first one so you will be occupied for quite awhile. Jaime Fraser is worth it though.
