I'll see if I can make this as quick as I can. Last year my mom and I stayed at the Paradise Pier, it's the first time we stayed on sight in 15 years. Anyway, we made the agreement then to NEVER stay off sight again. I want to surprise her next year with a stay at the Grand Californian and have her not know until the cab driver pulled us up to the entrance. BUT-here's the thing- I want to make her think I got a deal to die for at an off sight hotel. Please tell me if my idea sounds too fake. I'm a funeral director in Reno, NV, (that's the truth) I could say (a few months from now of course) that I met with a woman who lives in S. CA who's mom died and after the arrangement we got to talking about our lives. I could say that I asked what her husband did for a living and it just so happened that he was the manager of say, Candy Cane Inn. She asks me if I'm a Disneyland fan, I say yes and then she offers my family and I a stay at the Candy Cane Inn for half price and will throw in park hopper tickets for us. If this sounds too fake, please tell me. If you can add anything, say so, or better yet, if any of you have any creative ideas, let me know. Thanks a bunch!!!
