How many years did you teach preschool REnee? Do you miss the children? A friend of mine who taught preschool often told me, "It isn't the kids I have a problem with, it is usually the parents." Do you feel the same?

Well the field trip was a success. NO injuries, no one missing, no stolen pumpkins. However, I had to drive 2 children besides my own. Meghan, the sweetest little girl, (almost made me want to have another child just to get a girl. Don't worry that feeling didn't last long) and Ethan. WE were following one of the dad's because we didn't know where we were going when Ethan said, "We are following the man because men are smarter than women." Well, to make a long story short, Ethan will go home tonight and tell his mom and dad all about the intelligent woman that drove him to the pumpkin patch!

I taught preschool for 3 years! I loved every minute of it! I was just missing spending time with my kids, so I decided to quit while my kids still wanted to be seen with me!
........and YES parents can be a problem (too bad you cannot tell them what you are truly thinking!)

I started to pack then got into cleaning out my closet and dresser drawers. You can definitely say my closet has been downsized.I have less than 1/3rd of what I started with. I heard the rule of thumb if you haven't worn it for a year then get rid of it. Guess I need to go shopping for some more new clothes to fill my closet back up. Oh and some shoes too!

Good news is I did get most of my stuff (clothes) ready for the cruise. Still need to iron and put in suitcases.

Do you all think we will get to see the new show "Golden Mickey's"? Gee, I hope so.

Thanks guys for all of your prayers for my nephew. I will let you know tomorrow how it goes. He is such a cutie pie.

A girl in one of the 1st grade classes today has Leukemia. It makes you so thankful for your own kids health and well-being.... something I take for granted too often.

I'm going to start packing, too. I need to pull out my list. Our boys don't know they're going, so I have to do the packing on the sly while they're at school.

The weather here turned COLD this week! We woke up to 45 degrees this morning, and a frost warning for tomorrow morning is predicted. So...there's the motivation to start doing the clothes switch for seasons. The kids probably won't think twice about seeing clothes all over the place, though, so it'll help disguise what I'm doing.

I think they've figured out that we're going to WDW, but they have no clue about the cruise or MNSSHP. They have three half-days and two no-school days the week of the 12th, so just about the whole county heads out on vacation that week. We do every year. I remember coming home last year, sitting at the terminal at MCO. Our plane was late, so people started talking to each other (gasp!), and it turned out that almost everyone on the plane with school-aged kids were from our county! One family even lived in our neighborhood!

How warm do you think it will be the night of MNSSHP? I'm thinking about how much to/not to layer up. Maureen, maybe you'd be a good prognosticator. (Where in Florida are you?)

Good morning Lynne!!!
It was only 32 degrees this morning...so cold I even wore gloves!! I am so ready for the cruise!
That is so cool that you are surprising them...should be a wonderful surprise!
I am curious about MNSSHP too...we are planning on wearing tshirts and shorts, but who knows! After this 30-40 degree weather...even 60 would be hot! LOL!


A week from tomorrow we leave.....yippee!!!!!!

I'm with Beano on children being sick/operation feelings..yes, Maureen... most definatley many prayers are being sent for your nephew and family.

Just when you think that you have it bad.. you hear or read about someone else who has it just as bad, or more often times, even worse than you do!!

On a lighter note...Renee...I was my son's Pre-School aid for over a year and half..I was the art teacher and "snack lady"!! What a small world!! My sons' Pre-School gets a Mom to help out each year in lieu of payment..and since we live literally across the street from the Church where the Pre-School is..it worked out great. Alot more prep work and work than I realised... but it was fun. I do miss it. They asked me to stay on even though Jeff was going to Kindergarten..but they couldn't afford to put me on payroll. They were gonna give me 2-$60.00 gift cards to WalMart each month as payment. I declined. I have enough to keep me busy with working parttime and volunteering at the Church and School.

We leave one week from today for WDW!!!

I am excited Kamy. I just had to work all day. I got home and the kids were hogging the computer.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes for my nephew and his family. I am happy to report he is doing very well. He is in ICU but that was expected for the first 24 hours due to the nature of surgery. To make a long story short, the saggital suture of his skull had closed prematurely leaving minimal space for brain growth, thus his head was becoming deformed. He is now expected to live a normal life. i am so happy he is doing well. I did not sleep to good last night.

We live in a suburb of Orlando about 30-40 minutes from Mickey's house. In past years Halloween has always been a hot and humid and buggy night. I highly recommend bug spray. Deep Woods off is the only thing that keeps them off of me cause I am so sweet. Don't know but it possible it could cool off a little. We are still in the mid 80's most days. It wouldn't hurt to bring a light sweater but I doubt you will need layers.

I got some good news myself today, after some additional heart tests. Looks like I might live to see another cruise! So now that I know I am ok, I am so ready to get outta here and Par-tay on the Wonder!!
