Rose, it's my 30th birthday (laughing and coughing uncontrollably). It's actually my 40th next week, but I have my kids convinced I'm 29. It hasn't dawned on them to do the math between their ages and mine.

Funny story. I live about 35 miles away from where I grew up. A fellow HS alum lives here in my neighborhood, and her boys and mine are in the same classes at school. My boys told me that they KNEW I wasn't 29 because Mrs. A. is 30, and we since went to HS together, I should be 30 also! I told them it's because Mrs. A had her bday, but I haven't had mine yet, so I'm still 29. I think it's a scream that she has her boys convinced that she's 30....and we don't hang together to sync up these stories!!!

I cannot wait to meet everyone! Only 6 weeks from today we head down to FL! I am so excited.....pretty soon we will get our docs!

I just wanted to tell everyone that here in Southern CA, J.C Penney's and Macy's are having great sales. I mostly noticed the long and short dresses and woman's stuff but the sales are throughout the store and I almost lost my breath when I saw the discounts. My head started spinning, my blood pressure started rising , and my palms became sweaty. If you are looking for that little black dress (Beano, you might need another black dress, no?) or anything else, I would recommend a shopping trip within the next 2 days. Heck , even if you don't need anything, I would recommend a shopping trip.

Hi Everyone.
Hope you are still getting good weather where you are. Over here in UK it has turned to Autumn this weekend.

When we arrive in Florida we will have 3 weeks luggage including extras for the cruise nights and Halloween night so we will have a lot. Is there any large lockers or luggage room at port to leave a large suitcase? Would it be safe left in car trunk? or will it all have to taken onboard?

Regarding Halloween, we have done Mickeys not so Scarey for the last 2 years so thinking about Shamu's Halloween Spooktacular at Seaworld for a change. Has anyone been in past years?

Hi Wayne. Sorry, I can't help you with the Shamu Halloween party; we've never been. In fact a bunch of us are going to the Mickey Halloween party this year...

There are no lockers available at the port. We are leaving some of our clothing in a friend's car at port for a few days. I really doubt there is anything to worry about. I feel pretty safe about it. Your trunk is your best bet!

I would definitely bring a light sweater or sweatshirt as I remember it was kind of chilly on board last year. I had to go outside at night just to warm up.

Wayne,
I would second the idea for using the trunk to store your luggage. I never heard of anyone having a problem at the port. The only alternative I could suggest is asking the hotel where you are staying before or after the cruise if they store luggage.

As far as the halloween partys. I haven't been to either. So I can't help with that.

It is still summer here in Fl. low 90's and typically remains in the mid to high 80's through November. Should be some nice weather when we cruise.
