Attention all 10/12/03 4night Wonder Cruisers! Sign in here!

For drinks, I can be so nice you wouldn't even recognize me! LOL!!!!!! :)

Yes, that would definitely be an unrecognizable characteristic for you Kamy!!! :p

I'll buy the sailaway drinks in the plastic cups - I ain't payin' for all those fancy shmancy DCL glasses! :)

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go refill my beer mug.

'Beano'

Plastic works for me.....I don't need no fancy glass I will probably break anyway! LOL!!!! :)
Thanks Beano! Can't wait to raise a toast with you and Renee as we wave goodbye to the port! :)

Okay, for me to be "nice" to get free sail-away drinks, I need to get drunk first.

Yes, the only time I am happy to leave Florida is when I leave by ship! I'll never tire of the view of Port Canveral as we slowly sail away! I love that!!

2 months from today is Nassau, baby!! :)

I don't know how but missed a whole page on this thread.

Not a bad idea me and DD going to MNSSHP. But my plan was to not even go home on the 16th go straight to Disney and get a room for a night since the party ends so late and all. If DH and DS don't go I will have to go all the way home and drive back down. Totally out of the way but maybe worth it for a night of Mickey. Who knows maybe I will enjoy myself more.

Just an FYI. Bad news for me today. New FL res rates announced but not for this sailing so it looks like we are paying full price. I wouldn't mind if we got an upgrade. The ship is probably pretty full that is why there is no deal.

Rose, there seems to be a certain logistical problem with your sailaway drink approach.... but I don't have time to figure it out.
Here - have a drink!

Maureen, whatever you work out, I hope we get to see some of your family at MK with us on Thursday!

I hope you get your upgrade on the ship. We were offered a waitlist upgrade today, but I passed on it. I am holding out for an upgrade on the Magic cruise!!

After the party at MK, we have to go to Epcot the next day, and on Saturday we have to go back to Port Canaveral and go on another cruise. This is gonna be tiring. ;)

'Beano'

Yeah Beano....I am worn out just thinking about it...sure we wanna do all this work??? ;)

Heck yeah we do! Two weeks of cruisin and Disney with my wonderful DH and my bestest pals, the Creightons! Party is on now! :)

Okay, I know I have asked quite a few questions about the cruise on this thread, however, this question has to be the most important one to date.

Beano, what do we call you? Is Beano long for Ben or did your parents actually name you Beano? In Fresno, do a lot of people name their children Beano? Did you know that Beano is an over-the-counter pill that one can take when one has excess gas? If I have excess gas on the cruise, should I ask for you or the other drunk guy named Pepto? I am sooo very confused.

:p

Yes Rose, this is a very important question, indeed. Let me address your concerns one at a time:

Beano is a nickname given to me by my grandfather. Most people call me Ben. My friends call me Beano. (I guess that means that most people aren't my friends?) So I am called both... among other things. Anyway, you can take your pick!

Yes, I am well aware that Beano is a gas remedy, which is ironic since I make most people sick to their stomach. I believe I have been around longer than it has, though. Heaven knows I have caused more stomach ailments than it has cured.

If you have excess gas on the ship, ask for me, I'll fix you up. Don't bother my cousin Pepto, he is kind of a jerk when he's drinking. The worst I'll do is puke on your shoes. Beware of my step-brother Bromo, too. He's a real butthead. I'll just give you a beer and a taco, you'll be fine.

And finally... No. Not alot of people here in the Fresno area name their kids Beano. Why?

Because I am THE ONE AND ONLY BEANO!!! :) :) :)

(...and thank God for that.)

Hi, Just found this discussion group and would like to introduce ourselves as we are booked to go on the 4 days Oct 12 cruise with our 9 year old son. It is our 1st time on a ship so getting a bit nervous as we don't know what to expect. We are from the UK and visited Orlando between 3-5 weeks every year for the last 10 years. Just got back last Sunday from 2 week break without doing Disney (saving it for Oct when queues are shorter) just did lots of Islands of Ad and Universal as we have annual passes. Anyone spent time in Curios George(Universal), We spent hours in there soaking, dry unsuspecting people. Anyway My name is Wayne, Wife's Karen & Son's Mathew.

Welcome to our group Wayne.

We know curious George all too well at Universal. One of our favorite attractions, especially on a hot day. We also love the popeye ride at IOA. Been a while since we have been there. Our passes have expired. My DS is 13 and DD10. Looking forward to meeting you. This will be our third cruise. You will love it.

Hi, Wayne:

My son is eight, going on twenty-one. I will be sure and specifically mention that I have read about another boy near his age who is traveling on the October 12th cruise. He gets along with everyone -- maybe he will meet up with your son in the children's program or something!

Don't know about everyone else, but I want to get our paperwork. That will make it seem even more official! Talk about counting the days............

BEN: Since I don't have many friends, (hard to believe, I Know), I have decided to call you Beano to your face and other things behind your back. Oddly enough, I dated Bromo and Pepto in college. Actually, I dated many Bromo's and Pepto's but that is a long story that you will never hear.

WAYNE: I would like to welcome you and your family to the group. MY name is Rose and I will be traveling with my wonderfully patient husband and my two perfect children. NO, wait, the perfect children leave 3 doors down, I keep forgetting. I hope we Americans don't embarrass you too much. Welcome Aboard!

Just wanted to make sure I was out of the dog house for scaring you earlier on the other thread about my BOOKING being cancelled. All's well that ends well I guess. That really knocked me for a loop. October 12th needs to hurry up and get here! :p

Lady --

I read the other post and had a question. We, too, booked with All Seasons in March for this cruise. We have Disney Club membership and this is our first cruise. Supposedly we are eligible for onboard credits for these. I could understand being limited to one or the other of these, but when I requested that they be applied and I was told that we could get no onboard credits, period, because we got a better rate via early booking discount.

Do I understand that you booked in March, also, through the same company (with their group booking arrangement) and that you DO have an onboard credit? If so, I may need to call AS and speak to Chuck instead of the agent I have been dealing with since she has not particularly impressed me from the outset.

Hello! I am going to be on the Oct 12 Wonder cruise. My boyfriend and I are going. We don't have kids but this is his first cruise so I wanted it to be a good one and I knew Disney would be good. I shouldn't really say is is his first cruise, he has been on several with the Navy! But I know this will be much better!!! I have been on one Disney cruise before with an exboyfriend and his little girls and really enjoyed it. We are going to do some parks afterwards. We live in Florida so it won't be much of a trek for us.

Actually we are getting our $50 credit because we used our new Disney Visa to pay for it and it was a promotional thing. We're Disney Club members too but I didn't even pursue that 'cause I know you can't combine offers. I would try again.....all they can do is say 'no'. I know that AST rates are lower than everyone else's but I still think credit should be awarded if you're entitled to it. Good Luck!

Thank you for the welcomes to the board.

FredS
I will try to get Mathew to some of the children activities but he is the same 9 going on 21 and wants to do everything we do. By the time I have talked him into trying activities the cruise will be over.

Rose (takemeaway)
You said "I hope we Americans don't embarrass you too much". My wife read some of the messages on this discussion and is now wondering what we have let ourselves in for.
