1. Do you travel anywhere else besides Disney?
Absolutely! Most recently my youngest son and I went on a quick 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. My oldest son and I had gone to Cancun last year so I figured this was the fair thing to do and I'm continually trying to create memories with the boys before they're grown and gone. I have a thing for clear water and white sand and there's not much of that in Iowa! Someday when I grow up I want to be a dolphin trainer!!! Other than that I've been to San Diego, Denver, San Antonio, Black Hills/Badlands, Wyoming, KC all for personal trips. Have to admit I haven't been out East much.
2. What makes you love Disney so much?
Not sure there's any one specific thing. I'm continually amazed at the attention to detail that Disney puts into everything and the "show" they put on for us every day. But if I take my head out of it and just go with my heart I'd have to say it's all about the castle for me, you know the whole Prince Charming thing! I know it's corny but guess that means I'm a little corny and still a romantic at heart.
3. What is the first Disney thing you'd want me to do?
Well since I am all about the castle that's where I'd go first, in the evening of course, that's my favorite time in the parks, which of course leads right into the fireworks. If there is enough time to plan though, I would try and get cruise reservations for Illuminations! That shouldn't be missed.
4. What is the best thrill ride?
I am a coaster person through and through, upside down, backwards, forwards etc but since you don't do the upside down thing I'd have to say Tower of Terror. Gets the blood pumping everytime!
5. Which country in Epcot is the most romantic restaurant?
My theory is any place can be romantic with the right person! Even hanging out on the couch at home watching movies!!!!
6. Where do we go for dessert?
One of my favorite places to eat is Beaches and Cream. They have the best cheeseburgers and ice cream. OMG the No Way Jose is the best sundae it has chocolate ice cream and a peanut butter topping to die for. And there's enough for two to share! I love anything chocolate unless there's coconut involved! Plus I love the Yacht Club/Boardwalk area anyway, it's Disney without being TOO Disney. Jellyrolls is also right there and that's a blast!
7. Do we dress up or do casual?
We do practical! I like to people watch and this past week while at Disney um I'm mean the conference, I actually laughed out loud several times when I saw some of the shoes women were wearing. I want to be comfortable so I can walk around and do the rides and enjoy myself. I don't want to have to sit on a bench somewhere because my toes hurt so badly I'm miserable. But if we're going out and not doing the parks we can dress up too!
8. Could dancing be in this picture?
I would hope there would be dancing!
9. Where is the quietest place to take a walk?
There are lots of quiet places normally at the resorts though. Half the fun is exploring the resorts and finding those "special" spots as with any city or destination you visit. My spot is in the Magic Kingdom after the parade and the fireworks are done and all the people are leaving or pretty much gone there's a bench in the square centered with the castle at the other end of main street. Sitting on that bench watching the castle changing colors its like you're the only person in the park and the castle is putting a show on just for you. And if you let yourself you remember your dreams and what makes you happy and remember you are truly blessed.
