Attempted Child abduction at local park

The delay could have been caused by security being busy someplace else in the park? I know when we had two fights in our school at the same time, it was pretty crazy!

I suspect there is a difference in which personnel respond to an injury (to create a human wall) vs who will respond to a man acting violent and fighting. Your average college program kid would/could respond from a nearby CS to the first, but not likely to the second. I did read one report that there was 1 security officer on scene within 2 minutes but radioed for back-up, but I don't know if that is true.
It is being reported in the thread about this incident (on the Disneyland Community Board) that there was a security officer who radioed for back up and what appear to be 2 undercover CMs (they look just like guests -- they really do blend right in) who try to break up the fight. Professionals who have viewed the video say that these two men are clearly trained and are not amateur passersby.

...
Breaking up fights (verbal or physical) are different especially due to the chance of escalation and I wouldn't want regular CMs to have to take on that responsibility in addition to what they already have.
Exactly. It has been posted in the other thread that the protocol may have been to radio for more help and to keep other guests from getting involved and from getting hurt. This was a job for the police and CMs were possibly told to try to keep anyone else from getting hurt or involved until the police arrived. Thankfully, no one outside the immediate group was hurt.

FYI: ABC7 news reported yesterday that the case has been turned over to the District Attorney's office.

Not sure which people specifically others are thinking were undercover security. But I saw one of the men who intervened interviewed on TV the other night. He's a high school football coach from Texas.
