I was planning on just taking out all my spending money when I get there from the ATM in the Village en route back to the hotel and just taking a certain amount with me to the parks each day. Does anybody know if there is a limit as to how much you can withdraw at a time? And is the charge still only a euro or 2?

The limit and the charges are set by your bank so it depends who you are with to the amounts.

If you need more you'll have to ask them to increase your limit before you go :)

Aaa okay. Somebody told me there was a limit to 90 per day. I don't have a limit on my card and the charge was hardly anything last time. Yippie :-) I just have a normal current account so its just a debit card

who do you bank with as it should be on their site ?

As an example I can take out £300 a day with my Barclays Debit card and I don't have any charges besides the foreign exchange rate charge (2.99%) if I go to a BNP bank otherwise it's an extra 2% :)

I'm with the Bank of Scotland? Had a quick look and it says 2.99% as you mentioned, plus 1.5% plus, £1.50 per transaction! Thats quite a lot... maybe I would be better changing into euros before we go....

I wouldn't rely on ATM's abroad unless you are using them at a branch of a bank. If it swallows your one card you are well and truly snookered. The keys for the ATMs in the Village are probably not even held on site so you couldn't get it back.

Just an idea if you are worried about that .. you can use the ATM at the Post office in the station as there is employees there in case it goes wrong ;)

Another option is you register you debit card at the hotel (if staying onsite) and charge everything to room, you will only have one fee to pay when they bill you at the end of the trip unless you spend €300 or more in a day then they take payment then.

Good thinking Carrie_Cat! I might just do that. Either that or I will exchange before I go. I would charge to the room but I'd be too worried I'd go a bit OTT and end up spending too much. Thanks for the suggestion though :thumbsup2

You can keep track of your spends on your room tv;)
