Called Atlantis to book room during excursion day (19 June Cruise). Since we have a family of 5, they require two rooms at $265 each. If we book one room for 4 and purchase one Atlantis excursion - and my youngest won't use the slides - will they prevent our excursion member from entering the pool area or are you just restricted from using slides?? Are there other restrictions that will prevent us from doing this?

You will not be able to access the pool areas with the Atlantis excursion. When I stayed there 2 years ago everytime we entered the pool area staff members were checking to make sure you were a guest of the hotel.

Sorry! How old is your youngest though because if you book a full night room I was told by reservations that anychild under 3 would be considered an infant and you can then have 5. We will and I'm hoping the person I spoke to was correct! We are doing this in December but are considering staying at Comfort Suites next door. Those guests can use the Atlantis facilities.

Thanks for the tip - I looked on their website and then called Comfort Suites and they also only allow 4 per room. Price is about $200 each room so I don't think it is worth it for half a day. Youngest is 8.

If you book directly with the Atlantis resort you will be able to have five wristbands per room. Comfort Suites has different rules (four per room) so even if Atlantis is more expensive you will save money because only one room is required.
We booked a day room the morning we docked in Nassau. Of course there is not quarantee that a room will be available...however there is no worries about losing your deposit either (if the weather is bad or you change your mind).

Just had a question as to why you would think your youngest (8) wouldn't use the slides? Our DD 6 at the time LOVED them...we couldn't get her off. Of course she didn't do the free fall one...but absolutly loved the speed slide..and the others. I just had to ask...because the kids enjoyed the day I think more than I did....and that's what made it soooo great.

I have heard mixed messages as to how many wristbands you'll recieve.. It sounds like you've already called and were told only 4....but then again..it sounds like other have called also and have been told you can get up to 5. When we were there last Sept. (booked a dayroom for $150)...we were only given 4 wristbands...but we didn't try or ask for 5...since were a family of 4 so I can give NO advise there. I'd suggest calling them back and asking again....since people get mixed messages...maybe you'll get ahold of someone who offers 5 wristbands.

Could someone explain booking a "dayroom" idea? What is included? Thanks!

I think the dayroom started for truckers who just wanted a room for the day but would leave before evening. Or, maybe for some daytime frolic, whatever.

Anyway, you get full use of the facilities as a paying guest but do not stay overnight. The rate is usually cheaper because the room may otherwise go unbooked but there is no guarantee that a room will be available.

Hope this helps!

I just emailed Comfort Suites directly to get info on their policy. We will be 5 all together with the youngest being 2 and 5. I want to book 1 room only. I will post their reply as soon as it is received. I'm emailing Atlantis now too. I figure this way if I get a positive email response I can print it out and take it with me.
:flower: :goodvibes

Here is my email from Comfort Suites regarding getting 5 wrist bands since my youngest is only 2:

"Hello Katrina,
In response to your e-mail we will be able to accommodate all five persons in one room. The hotel's policy is four persons maximum to a room but we do make exceptions for infants 2 and under. No you will not have any problems getting wrists bands for the Atlantis because of the infant.
Thanks
Tia"

I will book my room with them and definately print my email and bring it with me. Hope it helps anyone else with the same question.

I also emailed Atlantis to try and get some info in writing but I was told to call the 800 number. When I called there I have always gotten a yes but for one time. :confused3
