Atlantis Nassau Question

My husband and I will be stopping in Nassau on our voyage on the Dream.My husband uses a mobility scooter and now that I have shattered my right leg,I will be needing one too.

How does the ship dock in Nassau? Do they tender or is there a pier? If they tender, can we get our scooters on the tender? We really wanted to explore Atlantis and surround area, but not sure if we can get there with our scooter.

Any info would be appeciated.

Once you are at Atlantis, you can use the scooters pretty easily (though sometimes it's hard to find the handicapped access). But I don't think you can get over to Paradise Island without getting in a cab. There is a very steep bridge from the main island to Paradise, and the sidewalks once you get out of the downtown may not be usable.

Thanks so much for the info. I think we will have to do without seeing Atlantis for now.
