Who has done either of the Atlantis excursions and which of the two do you recommend? Basically, we would like to check out the place, tour the Aquarium, and hang out in the casino for a couple of hours.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Brian,

We went to Atlantis in December from the Wonder. A fellow passenger on the flight down had been on the same cruise the year before and gave me this advice, which we followed since all we wanted to do was check out the resort and gamble at the casino for a few hours.

We got off the ship and walked to the end of the pier. There are lots of van drivers (taxis) waiting for the passengers to exit the ship and are willing to arrange a ride for about $4.00 per person to Atlantis. There is a $1.00 toll fee per car. You can arrange to have them pick you up at a specified time to return to the ship.

This gave us plenty of time to gamble and walk around the resort, could not use the pool etc but all we were interested in was sightseeing and the casino. It saved us a ton of money and we were free to do as we pleased at the casino.

Hope this info helps. Good luck!

We did the excursion in December. It was great to have a tour guide for the aquarium area. Gave us alot of insight that I know we wouldn't have on our own. They walk you through the casino too and give insight to the art pieces, ect. in there. At the end, you can then wander on your own and hit the casino. We really enjoyed it but be ready to walk. Comfortable shoes are a must. You are standing or walking the entire tour and its about an hour and a half. Again, well worth it! Enjoy!:)
