I saw on Atlantis website they now offer day passes and rates are much cheaper than Disney...but you need to get own transportation.....has anyone done this atlantis Day pass?

I haven't done it with Disney, but years ago (10 maybe) we did a day pass. You can take a taxi over, or there is a water taxi (just a motor boat with benches) to take. Make sure you get a rate from your driver before you get in.

And yes, it was cheaper than the boat offer when we did it then as well.

There are times that Atlantis does not sell *any* walk-up day passes (when its hotels are fully booked and/or all the cruise excursions have sold-out). They've been known to stop selling walk-up passes for weeks at a time. Now if you purchase ahead of time via their website, I'm sure the purchase will be honored, but if your travelling during a busy week you might not be able to book the passes on short notice.

This in't really necessary, as Nassau is on a zone system.

The taxis in Nassau will take you to/from the port to/from Atlantis for $4 per person (plus tip) in a shared van. You can also have the taxi take your party for the zoned fare of $11 plus toll plus $3 per person. Most/many of the taxis in Nassau are large vans and carry up to 8 people.

Here's the zone fares, and the additional fees:
