Hi Everyone!
We are going on the Magic February 14, 2016. We are trying to decide what to do when we get to the Bahamas. We are going with 12 people, with small children included. Has anyone done the Atlantis Beach excursion? I don't think I have heard good things about it? My daughter insists on getting off the ship that day to go to a beach. This will be our 2nd cruise, and the last one we went to the Blue Lagoon. It was just ok. So, looking at the Atlantis Beach and wondering if that would be a nice beach to go to? Does anyone have any pictures of this particular beach they would be willing to share? We are trying to get a handle on what it really is like, and if it is worth it. The other option would be to do the water park at the Atlantis, buy it is sooooo expensive! Does anyone have any thoughts on that? Is it worth it? Any advice would be very appreciated!:)

Check into booking the Comfort Suites by Atlantis (right across the street). You will have to take a Taxi to the hotel and then you check in and they give you the passes for the waterpark and you can also check out at the same time. This is a common practice and would save you a ton of money over Disney's prices. You would have to book multiple rooms but I think you can usually get a room for around $200, especially during the time of year you are going. There are a ton of threads on this subject if you do a search. We thought Atlantis was nice and had a beautiful view but I actually prefer Orlando waterparks.

My daughter(20) and I have done both the Atlantis water park and the Nassau Beach excursions. My daughter enjoyed the water park but it is expensive. The beach was "ok". The locals keep coming around trying to sell you things which can be a problem. The staff at the Atlantis will warn you before heading down to the beach that the people selling items or renting watercrafts are not with the resort. The beach chairs were not the best and did not include an umbrella which was extra once on the beach. If my next cruise includes Nassau, I will be staying on the ship.
