A topic I haven't seen come up R/T the Atlantis excursion (with DCL or on your own). With all of the walking involved, is it possible to use a stroller for a toddler/preschooler or a wheelchair for someone with limited walking ability? are all of the paths paved? Stairs involved? It sounds like DCL's tour (of the dig) is "escorted", someone gives a commentary on what you are seeing. Is everything in the brochure that they give you if you do it on your own?

Thanks

it was hard to get around even for walking people...
stairs, inclines, rocks....
it's just a hotel....when i was there i couldn't understand why anyone would pay money to walk about it....to use the pools or casino, perhaps, but not to just walk around and see it...
it's just a nice hotel....

When I was going to bring my godson who was in a wheelchair on our last cruise I contacted Disney and asked questions about their excursions and their reply was that since it is not the US there are no provisions made for wheelchairs by the operators of the excursions...so basically we couldn't have taken him anyplace other than walking around Nassau (YUK) and no way would we have even been able to take him to the straw market since those rows are very narrow and cluttered. They told us if we could lift him out of the chair and carry him and fold the chair up then he could go on a few but if that was not possible then there wasn't much he could do excursion wise....
