Disney now has an Atlantis beach day excursion that includes the pools and waterslides, called "Atlantis Adventure Package" we almost upgraded but @ $120 it seemed a bit pricey.

When we were walking thru the hotel they advertise the same package for $88

So if the pools and slides interest you, catch a cab and pay @ the Atlantis

I don't see this excursion. :confused3 Which one are you looking at?

it must be very new as we didn't know about it until we saw it in the navigator on the ship....

Is there anywhere I can find more information about this excursion? I would possibly be interested in this for my group as when we go, it might be cheaper than booking a day room.
Thanks.:)

Yes, very helpful. This sounds great but it does seem expensive. I will have to see what the day room will cost before I book anything.
Thank you again!!

$120 per person??!! Sounds expensive to me considering I got a room at Comfort Suites last month for $110 total for DD13 and I. I guess if you were going in high season and it was only 2 adults that would be a good price but otherwise you're probably better off booking a room at either Atlantis or CS.

ITA...$120pp does sound like a HIGH price to me also.... We spent $150 for our day room for the four of us... BUT I'm guessing that if they're offering these sort of excursions to cruise lines now (or like the OP mentioned a rate of $88pp at the hotel)...that maybe they're going to stop or limit even more how many day rooms they have/do.

BUT you can still also always look on travelzoo or on line for special Atlantis room prices.

Where can I find a price for a day room? I've looked on the Atlantis website.
There are 4 of us. $120 per person sounds expensive! But those slides look great.

my wife called atlantis b4 we left to chk on a day room, they said you have to come to the hotel in person to see what's avail. tht day

We called them a few weeks ago, and were told they do not reserve day rooms. From what I've seen, you need to go there and take your chances. They would let us book a room and check in as early as 7:00am, but the cheapest price was over $400 (mid-April). The $120 price is pretty steep, especially if you're going in high season, because the place is bound to be extremely crowded. I've seen posts on here that people couldn't get a chair and stood in lines for a long time to get on the water slides.

Yep...they won't over the phone ir internet let your "reserve" a day room ahead of time...you have to go into the hotel the day your there and take your chances. Even when your there...we found quite a few employees at the counters tell us they don't do day room...never have, never will... But we checked around and kept asking until we finaly asked the right person (I guess)...because we were finally able to get a room.

You can always check ahead of time the prices of the rooms (to book over night) at Atlantis and at Comfort suites. But by doing it that way you do run the risk of the ship not actually making it to that port...and you still being charged for the room d/t cancelation policies.

Anyhow...I've heard of day rooms going for anywhere between $120-250 per day...depending on time of year/season.

We went in Sept...and found the price reasonable and the crowds VERY managable (LOTS of empty lounge chairs).

Sounds like lounge chairs, towels and lunch are all included.

If you really want to go to Atlantis and don't want to take the chance with a dayroom you need to book a room in advance (unless you want to pay the $120pp thru DCL). Keep an eye out here and on travelzoo as it gets closer to your cruise, if there's a deal that comes out it's sure to be posted by a DISer here.

How many wrist bands do you get if you do get lucky enough to get a day room?

We booked a night at the Comfort Suites for $240 last July and were able to get wrist bands for our family of four. While we were there, one of the guests of the hotel mentioned to us that the hotel was overbooked, and based on the lines, I can believe it. But... we still got to enjoy Atlantis for a very reasonable rate. It might have been cheaper for a day room, but I'm sure none were available the day we were there. I should also point out that we spent $50 for lunch for the four of us and that was while trying to go cheap (very expensive food). So, for our family of four, we paid about $75 a person.

The one thing we hadn't considered was if the ship didn't make the port. In this case I would probably have looked in to disputing the charge if I couldn't get the hotel to cancel my reservation.

Bottom line is we paid a reasonable price and had almost no fears whatsoever about getting into the pool (our main fear was not being able to get wrist bands early in the day - but that was not a problem).

In the nine years we've been visiting Disney as DVC members, using the Comfort Suites has been one of the best tips we've ever received.

I'm pretty sure cjsmith was able to get five with her reservation, but I can't find her post.

I'm sorry if this has been covered a million times, but....
A room at Comfort Suites get you wrist bands for the slides and pools at Atlantis?

All the posts I've read have said that 4 is the max, maybe cjsmith will come across this thread and post her experience.
