Looking for any tips, tricks, ideas to get a good room rate at one of the "boardwalk" hotels the weekend of June 11th and 12th. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a few of the hotel cards, but they never ever send me coupons. I wonder what one has to do to get one (besides spending 10K in the casino).

It is very tough to get good rates on the weekends; AC is definitely a weekend destination, so the rates are jacked waaaay up during that time.

My only suggestion is to consider the Sheraton at the Convention Center. You may be able to get a better rate there because there isn't a casino associated with the hotel, and it is very close to the BW. Plus, they offer free limo service to & from Ceasar's all day long so if you aren't up for the walk, you can take a limo instead.

you can try one of the hotels / motels on Rt 30. We've gotten great deals there on weekends. Good luck getting the boardwalk area!

In March we paid $168 for one night at Trump Marina. That was a special rate.

I think some visitors have had success with Priceline in AC - they get the sheraton for a great price.

The Tropicana usually runs some good deals, especially if you are going as a couple (you didn't say how many of you are going), they have packages that are 2-3 nights that include vouchers for the restaurants and breakfast buffets, one package gives you a free bottle of wine sent to your room.

The Sheraton at the Convention Center is really nice. They have a collection of the Miss America dresses displayed with little bios/descriptions. I got really good rates there, check the web site. We did valet parking, because the parking lot was kind of far from the entrance.

They also have a really nice pub/restaurant, can't remember the name though.
