ATL to MCO---Reasonable Fare

Hi,
Does anyone know what a "reasonable" fare is from Atlanta to MCO? I am going in October and right now am being quoted $283. Is that high, low, or right in line?

I was just looking on Kayak and that seems to be what they have listed for a roundtrip flight. I don't know what that is compared to the past couple of years, but I know most cheap fares are long gone now.

We sometimes fly this route when we head to WDW for anywhere from $69 to $84 one-way. This is usually on Airtran. Delta will sometimes match Airtran, but not often. Unfortunately, Airtran and Delta are your only options out of Atlanta for a direct flight. Connecting flights on other airlines are usually higher and less convenient anyways. Back when Spirit used to run this route, the prices were a little more competitive. I would check fares again around the 90-day mark when they sometimes release discounted seats. Otherwise prepare to pay $283/pp round-trip. If fares stay at current levels, we will most likely drive to WDW. That's something we haven't done in about 5 years.:eek: It's really not a bad drive--5.5 hrs on I-75, 1/2 hr. on the Turnpike, then to Western Way and you're there.:yay:
 

I tend to wait until it's under $200. So far I have been able to get that. For $300 I will either drive or use my frequent flyer miles.
