Hello

I've having no luck with atkins this time, the first time size 12 to size 2, baby, then size 12 to size 4 or 6, baby, now i'm through my first fourteen days and no loss at all, maybe a slightly looser pants but really nothing.........help.....atkins so fits my lifestyle and improved my overall health so much i need to do it but what's going on??

I've done great with atkins. Did you look back through the book to see if there was anything you may have forgot had carbs?? Don't forget, 15-20 on the induction. You may want to get the keatone(sp) test strips to check if you are in keatosis(sp) When I tried to jump start again with the induction it was not such a great loss like the first time I did it. In fact I did get discouraged and tried doing South Beach, but with fewer carbs then SB allows. You might want to give that a try. Your body may have gotten used to the lower amout of carbs, and makes it harder to switch into keatosis
Keep up the good work, don't stop trying!!! Just think of Dorie and Nemo "keep swimming, keep swimming" , well, you get the point. :stitch2:

Give me an example of your daily food plan with carb count and I'll see what I think you are doing wrong :thumbsup2 I've lost 19lbs in 3 weeks, very strict atkins, though

well for fourteen days:

egg patty from mcdonalds for breakfast
double whopper with cheese, plain no bread for lunch
hot dogs and cheese for supper or bologna and cheese or chicken and cheese

snacks: pork rinds dipped in sour cream

drinks: decaf tea with splenda
krystal light

i do think the cheese from aldi's might have had some carbs in it because i've just read the package and it's processed cheese food, yuck

is it my imagination or are the strips even harder to find than they used to be?

Sounds like you need to eliminate the processed and fast foods. Maybe you can boil, scramble, or fry an egg in the morning and have Fish or Chicken and a salad for lunch and a Steak and Brocolli for Dinner.

I agree! :thumbsup2 Some people can still lose on processed food (I can't) maybe you could cook your own burger and try adding some hard aged cheese (I like crackerbarrel sharp) Or maybe you aren't getting enough protein to kick you into true ketosis? Have you tried posting at LowCarbFriends.com? They might be able to help you more, but this is my input. Stick with it! The Whoosh Fairy will come visit if you up your Protein and cut out the frankenfoods (processed) Good Luck!!!

All of the sodium in the fast foods you're eating could be making you retain water. As the other posters mentioned, try scrambling your own eggs, or make some hard boiled eggs in the beginning of the week and have one every morning. Stay away from the whopper, and maybe make your own hamburger patties at the beginning of the week too. Pork rinds are good, but again, they may have a lot of sodium.

Otherwise, you're on the right track! Don't forget your 3 cups of salad veggies every day too - it will make a difference in your weight loss! :thumbsup2
