ATC Swap Due! ALL Mailed Back. Thanks!

Michi - Hope you are doing well today. :)

marlynn - I'm looking at the store now. :teeth:

Today I received my order from 'youratcstore.com'. Everything is really nice quality, well packaged, came within a week, and they gave me a little 'kit' to make a St. Patrick's Day ATC for free! I definitely recommend them!

I was looking at that sight over the weekend, and ordered from them last night. They have some cool stuff!! They're closed this week, though, so they won't ship until next week. Only thing is that shipping was over $8 and they're less than 200 miles away from me.

I also found some similar things at a paper art shop near me last week that I thought would be cool on ATC's. Guess their site confirmed it.

Wonder what they'd charge me then:scared1: I generally pay about as much as my goods:rolleyes1

She uses priority with delivery confirmation. I didn't think her S&H was out of line compared to other things I have shipped. You could email her and see if she'd send it another way.

{{{Mazda}}} Hi! If there's something you really really want let me know and I'll get it to you!

:lovestruc I'll have a look (though I shouldn't really) I'm trying to help the Uk economy by buying "local" stuff - but we just don't have the deals:headache:

Hi girlies I'm back heavily sedated & in pain. So if I misspell forgive me. I want to thank you all for your kind words, thought & prayers! Surgery went well, I'm not bleeding too bad but I have alot of pain & I am dizzy. So I have no idea what I am writing right now:scared1: Anywho I had a quick chance to see what you guys have been up too. I'm going to chk out the store you suggested marlynnp when I get better. Thanks again everyone. That really means a lot.

 Hope the pain goes away soon.

I have my stamp for the back. :thumbsup2

Now to clarify "Vintage". Are we thinking only Victorian or does the 20's thru 50's count? Does medieval or French provincial count?

I'm not doing Victorian for mine. Vintage refers to a variety of eras. For one, I'm doing an Art Deco theme which is late 20's early 30's for my embellishing on that one. The other one, I think I'm still doing a vintage / retro Halloween theme which is basically early 20th century. I had also considered possibly doing instead, kind of a Dick, Jane & Sally theme for that one instead (which would be in the 50's).

I expect my order from ATC Store will probably arrive next week since they left for vacation the day I placed my order. I also have gotten similar things at a store here to supplement what I have at home.

I'm sorry you're having so much pain, Michi. It takes time. You should be feeling better in a week or 10 days. Just get plenty of rest. We'll be fine here while you're recuperating. :flower3:

Ok so on another swap site i signed up for a newbie ATC swap just to test the waters, and i have to say I like what I did I'm very proud of myself and these things are so addicting.
I did copy, paste and color printed some Collage sheets here at work...I got the color code from my boss (shhhh) why pay .40 a copy when I can get it here for free right....
My one vintage will be pin-up and my other one will prolly be between 20'and 30's women. I also ordered a "grab bag" of charms off Ebay. I highly reccomend going on Ebay and ordering the 100 pack of pre-cut chipboard blank ATC's. They are awesome!!!

Ohhh and has anyone ever tried inchies?

I can't wait to see what you've got going on girlfriend! I have a lot of friends that do inchies & they are cute, but I think ATC is the farthest I go with that. ATC are addicting in itself. I'll have to check out the chipboard you bought. As soon as your done with one post it so we can see it. Hopefully I can start mine this weekend. I'm still hurting from my surgery.:sad1:

Ok for Group B (for me) Dis Boys, I have to change mine to Mad Hatter or Rabbit. I had ordered Hercules stamps but the girl from Ebay decide not to mail them, I have no idea why:sad2:. I think she forgot then decided to give my money back. Not happy about that right now:sad1:
I hope you guys are ok with that. Thanks!

I've found some family pics I'm going to use for "Anything goes" and "Vintage" :goodvibes For anything goes my theme is "Heroes", and the pick is of 3 of my great-uncles and one great-aunt who all served in WWI (it shows them in uniform - my great-aunt was one of the first WAACs). The Vintage is a pic of my (many greats) grandmother who was a model for Pears soap - its a very elegant pic of her wearing a beautiful dress from around 1890.
I was hoping to tint them but I don't have photo-editing software that does layers:headache: Anyone know of a free download? Otherwise I'm doing a trial run with water-colour pencils, or possible a sepia wash. Or any suggestions?
