Which of these two systems was your favorite.
My brother and I had the Atari, while my best friend had the Intelivision.
I definately liked the Atari better.

Intellivison could have been great, but it was doomed by a crappy controller.

Note: Colecovision rules!

Intellivision ruled for me just for the Dungeon & Dragons game. I loved that and played it for hours!

I liked Intellivision, but that was for the "rich" kids in my day. I had a friend who had one, but we had the "lowly" 2600. We were too poor for Intellivision.

Atari 2600! My favorite game was Megomania DH bought a PS disc that has a lot of the old Atari games on it and Megomania was one of them. Not as good as I used to be, but I still love it!

We were a pong family....... I still remember my brother getting this for Christmas. And my Dad hogging it the whole day! :rotfl2: Kind of like us now.Yes I am a 41 year old mother of 4 that can't get enough Gears of War! (and no the kids don't play it I bought it for DH but I can't get enough even am anxiously awaiting II)

There has almost always been a better system than the one that was number one. IMO the Intellivison was FAR superior but just didn't get the backing from the peopel who made it.

I worked at Nintendo when the first NES sytems came out and you should have seen how few people there actually played it at home. The Sega system at the time was far batter but got no support.

It was intellivision for us at my house when they first came out. I remember my dad trying to find one. They were 299.00 at the time. We still have ours, with the box and the pricetag on it. The graphics were far superior to the Atari, but then again the price was much more too. Sort of like how the Wii and the PS3 may compare today in terms of pricing differences. The controllers took some getting used to and we had to have the console in for service at least two times to have the controlers replaced. They didn't just unplug. Atari was fun, most of my friends had those. It is amazing to me that you can buy the games for both Atari and Intellivision now for other systems or even those plug in remotes that sell for 15.00!

Yeah me too, I remember having that and loving it, but I am drawing a total blank as to exactly what it was like, do you mind refreshing my memory, that is a great nastalgic thought from my childhood but can't remember the details.

while I love me some Atari - I still have my Intellivision and several games...in the boxes baby!
