For those of you who fly ATA out of Midway, or anywhere for that matter, I just wanted to let you know that I saw no difference in service on our trip last week. In fact, we left the gate on time at MDW, which is a feat in and of itself, and we arrived in Orlando slightly ahead of schedule. On the return flight we pulled out slightly behind schedule, but were slated to arrived at MDW 15 minutes ahead of schedule had it not been for a security breach on Monday evening.

So I guess what it all boils down to...if you have tickets on ATA there is nothing to fear, that is unless the flight attendant's union decides to strike!!

Thanks for the update. We will be flying out of MDW on Sunday 11/21. It's been several years since we have flown out of MDW. We usually fly out of MKE.

Thanks again

We fly them almost every week out of Midway, and even though my husband's joke is that there new name in Chicago is "Lame Duck Air," I haven't noticed any difference in the service either. Our last pilot even had a sense of humor about it. When he shut down the engines and the power was supposed to switch to the jetway, all of the lights went off in the plane. It was pitch black for a few seconds, and then the emergency lights kicked on. He got on the intercom and assured us all that it was just a temporary problem and that ATA does, in fact, still pay their electric bill at Midway. :jester:
They are also still honoring our Elite status. We booked our flight this weekend at the last minute to use up frequent flyer miles, and there were no seats left to be assigned. I managed to get them to honor the "preferred, front of the aircraft seating" to get assignments.
