We've been flying ATA a lot lately, since we've been doing Disney cruises almost monthly and they offer the best rates from Chicago to Orlando. I noticed recently that they had started charging for headset cords to listen to the onboard entertainment (music and t.v.). It was $1 for kids and $2.50 for adults. But on our flight home this weekend, they were selling the cords for $1 each, which entitles you to keep it and use it on all your future flights. What a bargain! Now it will be interesting to see if they really let me use it in the future (I'll know soon, since our next trip is 4th of July weekend).

Atigeg, you should have no problem using the headset you recently puchased... ATA just announced today that they will be offering complimentary inflight entertainment as of 6/1/2002. :) You can either buy a headset for a $1 and keep it, like they told you, or they claim you can bring one from home as well. Here is a link to the official notification from ATA...

That link is so big, if that doesn't work you can go to

and follow it from there.
