At what age did your child not get autographs?

A discussion on another thread has made me ask this-At what age did your child lose interest in the characters. Is 9 or 10 too old for an autograph book? What about character meals. I was going to order an autograph book but now I don't know if he will be interested at all. Does it depend on the child, you think? Should I get him an autograph book?

Definately depends on the child. Some boys at 9 or 10 would not be interested in autograph books, while some would. One really neat idea I read about was getting the characters to autograph a hat or t-shirt. I think this would work well during a character meal.

My son stopped around 10ish for the books, but this past March we went to 1900 Park Fair for dinner, his hand was in a cast & he had the characters sign it. At first he didn't want it, then he thought is was funny that they did.. My girls are 8(she uses her book) and just turned 13 (will use if she likes the character...she will stand in a long line for Chip & Dale)

My 10yo boy would do an autograph book again. We're not getting them this year because we only have 3 days and standing in lines for autographs is not a high priority. We've been discussing options for getting a few autographs, and he thinks he wants to use a hat. 8yo DD wants to get the characters to sign her hip pack. We're going to get them to sign toddler DD's little Minnie Mouse blankie.

Maybe our children is too into the Disney atmosphere - but that is their high light.. Collecting Disney autograph books... They have different ones all the time and we go to several character meals during our stay ..... and not waste our valueable time in line at the parks.
They are now 13/13/15 girls and probably will do it till they have kids.

Our girls are 7, 10 and 13. They show no signs of stopping their autograph collection soon. They always look forward to acquiring an elusive autograph, and in fact, the older they get the more they seem to want them. Personally, I hope they never stop ..... gives me a reason to get some great photos of them with all of our favorite characters!

My oldest son who is 10 will not wait in line for an autograph. If we are at a character meal, he will get them. None of my kids will wait in any sort of line, they don't like to take time away from the rides.

My kids love getting autographs. It is not only the signatures they enjoy but the interaction with the characters.

Did you know that my daughter (12) is going to marry Chip? Her brother (7) arranged for that?

The Mad Hatter didn't want to say he remembered one of my children because he didn't want to hurt the others by indicating he didn't remember them.

The Beast's hand is as big as my son's face.

......

I have so many wonderful memories of the interaction with the characters. And, it seems to me that the characters spend more time with interacting when kids wait in line for autographs. In our experiences, during character meals, the characters are usually rushed.

It is just a lot of fun.

My girls were 8 and 14 when we went. Both loved the autographs.

My youngest children will be 12 and 13 on our next trip (11/2001) and they still love the autograph books and the Epcot Passport. Of course, my mother is 60 and she couldn't go to WDW without both!!! She's just a big kid at heart!
