Im at WDW now, full report tomorrow night.

MVMCP is great! However the crowds are heavier than you'd think (even on weeknights) on MVMCP. Waits were moderate until AFTER the fireworks. HOwever the place clears out at 11:00. We were in fantasyland at 11:30 UNTIL closing and the place was DEAD. NO WAIT for Peter pan and we were the only people on IASW.

When the park closed we took photos in Fantasyland with NOBODY in them.

They need more cookie and coco locations. The one at the Terrace was slammed packed and we couldnt get any there. However there were no lines at the location near Liberty Tree Tavern.

The parade is great, but looonnnggg (not that that is a bad thing).

General crowds are heavier than expected. Even at Epcot yesterday Soarin was an 80 minute wait even at 8:00, and Test Track was an 80 minute wait all day, until it broke down that afternoon.

Well, I now realize that you have to be considerate with others about MIssion Space. Just FYI, dont tell everyone that asks that MS is nothing to worry about. I did that because I honestly dont think it's bad. My brother in law, who has no problems on rides, did it and threw up twice afterwards, once on the grass, and once on the bus ride to MGM and just felt sick the rest of the day (he didnt complain though :) )

The fireworks for MVMCP are great! The ones at Epcot are great as well. So many people started to leave not realizing there was a special finale that I had to tell an entire group so that they wouldnt leave their spot. The finale is incredible for the Holiday Illuminations. The show doesn't miss a beat without the fire barge.

Weather is greatbut cool in the evenings.

Only problem we had with MVMCP is Space Mtn was broken down for a good portion of it.

Not many people AT ALL were riding Splash Mountain because of the weather in the 40's.

More later!

Thanks for the review. So glad you're having a great time. We are off to WDW on the 11 and the party on the 13th. This will be our first party and I loved reading your report. From what you say it makes sense for us to go to the party later than earlier...well by early, I mean not at the beginning, we don't have kids so time is not an issue. We have ADR's that night at CG at 5:30...so we can have a nice relaxing dinner before heading to the party. Thanks so much ....can't wait for your full report :flower:

Enjoy your trip

Going MVMCP on 6th and 8th can hardly wait. How were lines for your MVMCP holiday photo?Thank you Danny :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

Just back, went to MVMCP on Tues. It was one of the warmest nites we were there, but it did lightly rain during the late parade. Our wait for the photo was only about 10 minutes. Took it at the site in Adventureland (they had about 5 different photographers set up there). While waiting in line the CM mentioned that we would get 5 photos (5 paid admissions). They only shot one pose. Didn't think at the time to ask, does that mean we get 5 copies or should we have asked for different poses (ie. kids only)???

In the past we have gotten 5 copies of the same pose.

Thanks for the info. We leave on the red eye tonight. Can't wait.
Going to MVMCP on the 8th!!!

Ok,

Back now.

Things were great!

MVMCP was really fun, however, you really don't get as much done (at least in our case) as you'd think. We were really surprised how crowded it is at MVMCP. After the fireworks, it's your park, but you run out of time before you know it.

BTMRR was walk on after fireworks, along with Splash Mtn.

The parade is nice.

The fireworks for the show are very nice, I still love Wishes though.

Just FYI, on Friday night we were at Epcot and from Italy, you can see (EASILY) the entire MVMCP show from this location if you look towards Canada from this location. You can even see the perimeter fireworks.

The snow in MVMCP is cool, and really does look like snow.

The Osbourne Lights is just unreal. That is true Christmas atmopshere, even more than MVMCP in my opinion. I could just stay there all night. They also have snow here as well.

Many of the decorations were taken down for the parade taping at MK and we assume they'll go back up.

Everyone is different but, after seeing the taping of the parades (Christmas parade for ABC) I dont know why anyone would want to do that. It seemed MISERABLE! YOu are roped off to your area and while Regis and Kelly are there and in sight they dont interact with the crowd much at all. We have video of them up there in between takes and just chit chatting with one another but never payed any attention to guests and the guests seemed to be told not to interact with them in between sets as well (for obvious reasons).

We were not "in" the parade crowd but we could EASILY see REgis and Kelly. I guess to each his own.

Crowds at Epcot were pretty heavy Friday and crowds at MK yesterday (sat) were just HEAVY!

At 9:30 the line for Space Mountain was 65 minutes.

HOwever Saturday the AK was EMPTY! While the posted waiting time at Dinosaur was 20 minutes, it was walk-on.

No line for Primevil Whirl, NO wait for the Safari either!!!!!!

While we have all seen pics of Expedition Everest, nobody, AND I MEAN nobody can understand the size of this ride until they see it in person. It is truly impressive, and that just doensn't appropriately describe it. This will be extreme headliner and unlike many attractions, you can tell just by the look of it that it will be worthy of it's hype. The entire area around it is themed impecably as well.

I enjoyed AK more this trip because it was cooler (i normally dont like AK) and not crowded. WE did IABL 3d movie with NO wait.

Regarding the lines at MK, last night we waited until 10:15 (11:00 closing) and did Splash Mtn and Space Mtn with no wait! Obviously you can tell we had no wait. At 10:15 we walked slowly to Splash, did it, walked all the way to Space Mtn and got it in before 11:00.

Sounds like you enjoyed the Christmas party. Thanks for the review.

Question about Illuminations....

Does the regular Illuminations finish and then go straight into the Christmas finale or is there a pause. I am confused about why people are leaving before the show finishes.....
