At the risk of sounding cheap...

I'm considering Trails End for dinner the night of our arrival (to be followed, of course, by the Campfire ). We are on DDP but will be paying OOP for whatever dinner we opt for that night. My question is regarding my 2yo son: will we be charged for him to eat, or can he (like with other restaurants when using DDP) eat from my plate? There is no way he'll eat even close to $10 worth of food, KWIM?

From what I remember our kids were not charged at buffets when they were under 3. In fact, I seem to recall that the menu prices list children as 3-9years. So you should be fine!

You will not be charged for a child under 3 at a buffet.

For us it's a must do on arrival night but we just opt for the pizza and pitchers of beer in the lower level Crockett's Tavern. We never do dining plans..Disney TS meals in our opinion are not worth it, time ans meal wise. Trails' End is one of our favorites for breakfast and a dinner, and we usually stay at WL and boat over. You won't be considered cheap but to us, wise...enjoy your meal and check out the Trading Post gift shop, unique in its own and also the horse barn!

I don't think it is cheap. I think it is a wise use of resources. Many posters have said it is a good value and if you want to be there for the campfire, why should you pay more to eat someplace else? Around my house, we think a penny saved is definitely a penny earned!

I guess I was thinking it could be considered cheap that I don't want to pay $11.99 for my 2yo to eat
