Leaving on Sunday for a trip and staying at my home at SSR. Can someone give me directions to the closest "Fair priced" grocery.

Thanks

From SSR go towards DTD and exit at Crossroads (across form Goodings) make a left at the light and go straight. About 3 miles up you will see an ABC Liquor on your right, behind that is a small plaza with a small Winn Dixie (apply for the discount card key tag at the customer service desk). It is fast quick and much less expensive as compared to Goodings. If you really want cheap and don't mind the crazy that SuperWalmart comes with there is one in the same area but on the left side of the road.

It's not that far. Maybe 3 miles from SSR to Winn Dixie.

When you turn left off of Hotel Plaza Blvd, make sure you are in the right lane prior to turning (the one where you can go straight or turn left). 1st light is Palm Parkway (olive Garden is on your right). There is another light and I am 99% sure that the ABC Liquor store and the Winn Dixie is at the third light. You can go thru the light and turn right into the shopping center parking lot.

I usually turn right at Palm Parkway to go home - I work at DTD and am there every weekend.

Thanks to both of you. Greatly appreciated, have always gone to Goodings knowing it was too expensive but it was close.

PATSAL, have a good trip, it looks like we both will be there at the same time.

Another alternative is to take a right at the Goodings, and get into the left lane. Just under the I-4 overpass, turn left towards the Premier Outlets; go past them and Publix is on the left.

SSr to the Publix and back ( not including shopping) was 15 mins average a few weeks ago.

We went almost everyday as we have a need for fresh items.I would go and the rest of the family would be getting showers and ready for the parks at night.

After you turn left at Crossroads Center, it's only 7/10 of a mile to Winn Dixie. Here are the driving instructions and map from Yahoo Maps:

I also prefer the Publix over the Winn Dixie, even though the Publix isn't quite as close. Here are the driving instructions and map from Yahoo Maps:

We go to Winn Dixie too. Have thought about trying Publix, but since I know where WD is, it's just easier. And the ABC store is right there too.

Enjoy your trip :sunny:

Does anyone use the grocery delivery? If so, was it expensive? When we go for the first time next year, we were not planning on renting a car for the entire time while we are there, and was going to use the Disney trasportation to get around. Since it is just DH and I, we don't need a lot as most of the time I am sure we will eat out, but it would be nice to have some breakfast stuff, sodas, snacks, and stuff like that around. I thought we would use the grocery ordering service if it wasn't too expensive. But it looks like there are grocery stores close, so maybe we'll just get it our self?
