At parks since Sunday, problems booking FP from MDE and app

We've been at the parks since Sunday 2/24. After our 3rd FP ride, we were not able to book 4th either online or on the app. The error message says "theme park admission is required" to book another FP. Also get same error message when trying to modify existing FPs.
Went to Guest relations at Epcot, and after about half hour discussion, the CM called technical services who said this is currently a known issue since the last upgrade. She said we can only make 4th FP at Kiosk or GR and the same for modifying.
I didn't see anyone posting here about this issue...is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I nicely explained it's definitely impacting my vacation experience negatively. She offered some anytime FP, which I took, but it doesn't make me feel better. I'm still fairly frustrated. I know the app is glitchy, I know Disney IT has a lot of work to do, this isn't new to me.
But, it has changed my trip experience. I can't modify FP unless I go to a Kiosk, I'm traveling with 10 family members that I made all FP for, for 7 days. Halfway thru the trip and I'm still letting this bother me.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

The fastpass system is a mess right now. I'm sorry you had the bad luck to be in the parks at a time when the system is having big issues. I doubt you're the only one but a lot of people don't post in the forums during their trip. I suspect we'll be seeing reports of similar issues as people return home.

If you let it bother you though and ruin the trip you're going to be even worse off. Disney gave you anytime fastpasses. IMO that's decent guest recovery and there's not much else they can do for individual guests. Take it and move on if for no other reason than to enjoy your trip in the moment.

If you are staying onsite, let your hotel concierge know and be sure to politely let them know, they can most likely help, it may just be anytime FPs for each day, but really those are better than modifying your FP times.

Hi , conceirge was the first place I went (BWV) and they were, unfortunately, less than helpful. Not even willing to investigate, just "I'm sorry".

Thank you for the pep talk and I know you are right, we're still having a good time, and I appreciate the anytime FP I had to request to get them. I know you guys on the dis would understand:)

We have been here since Saturday the 23rd and have experienced many frustrations and glitches with both the app and the online version, but I must say that what you are experiencing is beyond horrible, and I would be very angry indeed. So you are expected for the entire trip to have to run back to the kiosk every time you want to get a new FP or change one??? Wow, I think that’s really just unacceptable. Is it an issue with your ticket, and if so, can’t they just issue you a new ticket so that the app/website will work? I am so very sorry you’re experiencing this. I really hope that someone can make this right for you...I’ll have my fingers crossed for you!

I had that problem while making FPs on Tues morning. It cleared up pretty quickly for me though. Try downloading other browsers to your phone (chrome or Firefox or edge, whatever you don't have). And I would try to go to the concierge again when someone else is there. They should definitely offer a few anytime FPs each day IMHO.

Is the group of 10 only on your 1 MDE account? Or by chance are there multiple MDE accounts connected via Friends and Family?
I'm wondering, if by chance if there are other accounts if one of the others could make them instead
I hate to say it but I think the answer you got was a cop out. A known issue that only impacts a few accounts? What known issue would stop you (and a handful of others) from having tickets that MDE can access for FP? And how would they access for park admission but not FP? It just makes no sense. Hence, cop out. There's another explanation I'm sure of it

I am here at WDW too, and have had no issues making fourth FPs from the app. Sometimes it stalls a bit and I close the app and reopen it but I haven’t seen an error message like yours.

Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling the app altogether?

I will be in Disney in 4 days, and have tried checking back multiple times a day for certain fastpasses. 9/10 times I get an error message that just says "sorry there was a problem loading the requested information" with no way of loading my current fastpasses, or modifying them. I know it's not the same issue, but the whole thing seems to be completely screwed up.

Thank you all for sharing your feedback and experiences!
We've tried everything you have all suggested on Sunday night, and yestersay again, and still no luck. We'll see what today brings as we enter the parks.

Have you tried making sure you wifi is turned off? Sometimes apps don't work optimally if they are trying to work through wifi that is not sufficient and when you rely on cellular data they work better. This was our experience with the Disneyland app - we had issues with it being very slow but once we checked and made sure wifi was off, then it worked so much better.

I had this exact problem. MDE kept not recognizing my ticket media and I wasn't able to book fastpasses. Guest relations had no resolution to the problem. It was very frustrating. I uninstalled the app and it seemed to help somewhat. Good luck!

We were in the parks on Sat 2/23 and Sun 2/24. On Saturday I could not modify FP+ or make any new FP+ after we used our 3. We were at HS so ended up going standby with not much issue. On Sun we were at MK. I couldn't modify anything. After we used the 3, I tried to make a 4th on the app and got a message "FP+ has concluded for the day at MK". I did use the online version and while I had numerous issues with it, after logging on and off multiple times, I would finally be able to make a FP+. Then we would use that FP+ and start the process all over again of logging on and off online and finally being able to make a new one. I also turned my wifi off. It was highly frustrating, but it was just my daughter and I on a "bonus birthday trip" so while it was annoying, we went with the flow and honestly, standby lines were pretty doable on Sunday morning and evening at MK that day so it didn't bother me too much. I did think to myself several times, though, that had we been with our entire family for a big, organized vacation or had standby waits been longer, I would have been highly frustrated and irritated.

I know it doesn't help but we were there Feb 24th-28th and never had any issues with MDE or using 4th FP. And I swap FPs out every 10 minutes or so at times.

Today at HS everything worked ok for our first three FP, but again, trying to make a 4th and the same error message "valid theme park admission required" to book.
I visited concierge again at BWV; they said IT was still working on the "issues" and said if the issue persisted to check back again and they could give me extra anytime FP.
I mean, I should be happy about that, but I expressed frustration and told them I was disappointed, that while I was enjoying my trip, my repeated visits to GR was taking a lot of time. What can they really do thou, no one is going to give any type of monetary compensation or added freebies. It's just the FP system not working right for me, and I'm seeing here I'm not completely alone, with a couple of you experiencing similar issues, so I'm not deserving of more than anyone else should be in this case .

Now, a magical moment at TSMM happened thou. I asked a CM if I could use our anytime FP, which are not supposed to be valid in TSL, and he said to try...well, it didn't turn green, but he waved us thru anyway!! That made my day

That is really frustrating. Have you tried calling Tech support directly instead of going through the resort/park CMs? The tech support number is: (407) 939-5277. Hope they fix this for you.

P.S. - Just curious, what type of tickets does your family have? Have you tried splitting your group into smaller groups?

my FastPass day is March 13th and says so on the site. When I click into it to try and book early it gives that message that theme park tickets are required. However when I went in October to try and play around, it simply said to come back on the correct day. Is that the typical error message when going in before your day?

If you have a package that includes resort and tickets this is totally normal. Check the FP thread stickied at the top and you'll find all the info
