I was just wondering about this location. Anyone have experience in staying in either of these. We will be in a 2 br in Feb. Wondering if I should see if they are available.

I haven't stayed in 16 or 62, but I did stay in a GV in building 63 on one trip. It's a good location, close to the hospitality house. I don't know if you can request specific buildings when you make your reservation, though - most just request the area that they would prefer to stay in.

BTW, buildings 61,62, & 63 will most likely be given to those who list the need for an elevator because of medical needs. These are the only three at OKW with passenger elevators. If you were going to try for this area, I would probably request "Millers Road, near Hospitality House." With any luck, this may put you into or close to your buildings of choice.

We've been in building 62. It's very close to Hospitality House. Since they are newer buildings, the room looked much fresher than others at OKW and was extremely clean. We were in a studio at the end nearest to Hosp. House and it was very noisy as there is an intersection between two roads, plus the crosswalk near the bridge. That was the only drawback. We were at the very end of the building, so I would imagine if you are further in, noise wouldn't be much of a problem.

HTH!

We have stayed in bldg. 62 as well as the previous poster said it is a great location and close to everything.

Enjoy your stay,
Lisa

Building 16 will only have 1 entrance into the master bathroom, through the master bedroom. Buildings 30 and higher have an additional door through the laundry room. More convenient if you have someone sleeping in the living room.

You certainly can request a certain building, you can request a certain room if you want to, that doesn't mean you are going to get it, though.:p I have stayed in buildings 32, 62, 63, 16, and 23. I wasn't too keen on 32 but the other buildings were great. I requested each building, except 23, and that turned out to be my favorite! We had a lovely 2nd floor room, and I would ask for 23 or 16 again as my top choices. I always have requested a floor, also, and I have been lucky because it has always been honored. In fact, that's how I got bldg. 23--they put me on first floor in bldg62, and I asked for a building with a 2nd or 3rd floor room. Wow! It was well worth the complaint--the one door to the bathroom can be a pain, though.;)

I have stayed in both. Nothing to report out of the unusual. There is one building over in that area that I stayed at that does not have its own parking lot. I stayed in that one also. that is a draw back. Other than that they are all good as far as I am concerned.

We stayed in bldg 16 two years ago and my only complaint was trying to drag my DH from the balcony every morning to get out to the parks! He loved watching the early morning golfers on the #6 green just below our balcony.

We stayed in #14 and thought it was great - except for the three flights of stairs! But after a while it wasn't so bad! Got the heart pumping!

We had a 3rd floor 1 bdrm to the right as you face the bldg. It is right across from the hospitality house and the bus stop there. We found it to be quiet.

Enjoy your stay, no matter what bldg you're in!

I know that requests are not guaranteed, but I did not want to make a request for something I wouldn't like. Although, what am I saying, I really like just being there!
Can't wit to go.

Thanks for all the replies.

We have stayed in building 62 twice, once just as it opened. Brand New!!! Each time we had a 2 BR, once dedicated and once a lock off.
The area was very convenient for us because we had young grandchildren with us. It is close to the boat for DTD, it is close to HH and close to the bus stops.

We will be leaving in 10 days for 4 days OKW and 4 days BWV.
We didn't request a building, just non smoking, medical reason.
I wonder which building we will get at OKW? I also did not request any special area at BWV. Oh, well, surprises are nice!
