(hope that DH, who is off, finds something to occupy himself that DOES NOT include me) DH was gone when I get back from carpool, and had a few errands he was planning to do...so I might get this swap finished after all...

Make something nice for dinner, my family is starting to complain...maybe a roast, some garlic mashed, and some broccoli

Ashley- a good site to look at for hurricane watches and such www.nhc.noaa.gov - gives all of the data from the hurricane center so you can look at it without a local slant and www.stormpulse.com this one gives a good animation of where the storm is expoected to go and how far out tropical storm force and hurricane force winds will go. I will be praying for your family.

Ashley, stay safe. Bring it all outdoor stuff, toys, chairs, umbrella's, potted plants. Fill up your tub with water, just in case. Has the rain hit you yet? It drives me nuts when they report on a hurricane, it is the eye. Tell us about the wind and rains that are beforehand.

BAMB, I am with you. Chilling to watch that footage, I just can't imagine how people survived it first hand.

Debbie. My DH does that to me too. Will decide something needs to be done and I just need to get myself on board with it. I have learned that the silent treatment does NOT work in this case.

It's a half day of school here...but lots going on afterwards w/ practices and meets...


Today:

dd to school for council mtg. done
ds on bus done
scrap one page done
beds all made!
start looking @ dresses for DD she has been nominated for the first round of homecoming court as a FRESHMAN!! (Proud mommy~ still another vote on Friday or Monday for the finals)
elem kids home around 11:45a doen they were here early @ 11:30
go pick up DS12 @ noon done
homework duty done
Wait for DD to call when XC is done (they have to run as a team right afterschool today) done
DS12 back to school @ 3:30 for team photos & meet @ 4:30pm done and got a new personal best on his time!
scrap a page or two while all kids are home didn't scrap; worked on 4x4 rolodex template...need to run to town..but no one will cooperate at home..gonna fix dinner, eat and leave..and THEY will be helping out our else!!


Even found a moment to price Staples 2" binder clips... Item # 831610 Black 12 pak for $4.00 per their website.. I love to price this and make sure they honor it @ the store..drives some of them crazy!
Off not to find some review worksheets for DS7.. he likes to play school when he gets home..so who am I to argue (that won't last much longer)

Thanks for the and thoughts everyone. I am feeling much better this morning now that it looks like it is moving more north than northwest once it hits. Rebecca, I have been stalking stormpulse.com - I will look at the National Hurricane Center's website. Lisa- our task tomorrow (most likely) will be bringing in/securing everything. I think I will wait until tomorrow so DD doesn't have one more day to worry. The good news is that she will have my BIL and SIL, and most likely both sets of grandparents for reassurance. Thanks again everyone, I've said it before, I'll say it again- y'all are the BEST!

Well its a crazy morning here. I'm at home today with Noah. He's had some runny diapers for the last couple of days and we just thought it was teething well it got even worse yesterday so now he has little blister areas down there. It look soooo painful. We called the doctors and they called in an Rx for Magic B*** cream so I just need to go and pick it up from the store. Of course now that the store has called he's sound asleep. The doctor said there is a stomach bug going around so it could also be that. He has no fever and acts completly happy except when he goes to the bathroom. Poor little guy. He was very excited when I got him up this morning though. I usually don't see him since I go to work before he gets up.

OK sorry for babbling. Since I'm home today with him my list pretty much consists of just playing with my little man and picking up as I get a chance. I'll be back to work tomorrow if we decide to keep him home DH is going to stay with him. So I'll be more online then.

Just doing a quick check-in. We are a little nutty around here! BIL and SIL are here, trying to get the mountain of food settled that FIL and MIL bought, getting DD to focus on homework AND maintain my sanity.... I think we will be out of the way of the storm if it keeps on it's present course. Thanks for all the hugs and thoughts!
