It's New Years Eve!!!

What are you all doing? We are having surf and turf, then choc fondue for the ball...

Today I have to:

Shop for the surf, and fundue dippers, choc and heavy cream... done

Project 365 pic

Clean my bathroom 1/2 done

Dinner... I already told ya...

Have a great last day of the year to all my DIS Friends!! Thanks for another year of support and friendship! You guys are the BEST!!!

I'm just not a big New Year's Eve person! I never manage to stay up until midnight!!

Here's my list for today:

1. Caffeinate!!
2. Play with DS!!
3. Laundry--I must do this. It's overtaken the room again.
4. Work on DHS swap--I wanted to finish them by today, but I'll settle for 1-2 groups done.
5. Dinner with DH & DS
6. Ring in the new year around 10 pm when I fall asleep!!
7. Project 365 pic

First, Wish all of my WONDERFUL Dis friends a VERY Happy and Healthy New Year!! When I count my blessings all of you and this board are right up there!
Thank you for your gift of friendship this year!

After the morning ritual:
Take DS to camp
Go to JoAnns and hit their sale! (Did I mention DS gave me a gc for Christmas?)
Go to hospital to check on extended family. My 2nd Dad is have a quade bypass. If you pray, say one for Tom.
Go to family dinner at sisters. DN is here with her family from LA.
Maybe get a bit of scrapping in, just for the distraction.

We are not strong NYE people either, if you are, please be safe (whatever that means for you, take a cab, walk, etc). I want to see you all here Thursday morning vying for your MK spots!

Today:
I am cleaning!
We are having a big New Years Eve Party. My DS was born 18 years ago today. DS 19's band will be playing- here in my house.......not sure what I was thinking, but it should be fun. A very 'wild' crowd- all of the gparents and friends who want to hear them without paying $10 a head to see a 'show'. Then those with other plans will leave. The rest of us will play games and snack till early morning. Good times!

Happy and healthy New Year to all my friends.

We are having lobster for dinner tonight. Yum I know I won't stay up to midnight. I'll be lucky if I last passed 10 pm I'll catch the ball dropping tomorrow morning on the news.

My to do list today:

Send out PD for Tom and his surgery.
Bring wood in from the garage
Load the woodstove
Work
Keep an eye on the weather. We are due to get 6" of that icky white stuff
Maybe snowblow the driveway if the sn@w stops early enough. If not, it will be there for me tomorrow.

We aren't big on NYE celebrations either. I'm usually asleep long before midnight!

DS and I to get haircuts
Go to American Eagle to exchange pants DS got for Christmas
Take DH out to lunch (he's at work so DS and I will take him out)
Go to Kirklands to get movie wall decorations DS wants for his room
Finish taking down Christmas decorations
Put up the few New Year's decorations a friend gave me
Race babies (a friend gave me a set of racing New Year's babies for us to race)
Work on swaps

Mornin'!!! Everyone but DH slept in (some are still sleeping)... I need to go rattle cages and get the rest moving so we can take DS to BB practice and than go to Jo's for some items.... (rumor has it there is a sale) LOL

Today:

DS12 to BB done
Jo's for sale/items done; wasn't much spent $4.00
DS8 talked me into HL... done, got a punch for 50% off $7.00
Walmart for DS12's material for school sewing project done for $4.00 total!

NYE celebration w/ Dh and kids.. We stay home and enjoy the night here safe!!! We have a box of party supplies... and the kids and I will wait for DH to fall asleep before MIDNIGHT and laugh at him because he starts snoring!!! Then I will take our traditional photos of the kids celebrating the new years!!!

Spent morning with DH going to JoAnn's and trying to find the BlackLetter or Christmas Solutions carts, no luck on the carts, don't ask about JoAnn's. He is SUCH an enabler.

We won't be up on purpose for the New Year. Never did as a kid and just too tired as an adult.

afternoon everyone.
i'm late to the party today!
Well I'm a great-aunt again!!!!
My niece had her baby at 3:30 this morning. It's a boy! 6lbs 4oz. We are so very lucky!

I'm not writing my to do list because the day's 1/2 over! I went to work only for an hour because the white stuff is coming down very heavy. I had mom stay here. I don't want her driving in this stuff. Dh left for work in the wee hours of the am. Right after my sister called to say the baby was born. I probably won't see him until tomorrow am. He took tons of clothes, food, water, all stuff to get him through the night. He's out making Michaels and Joann's nice and shoveled out for us scrappers to shop! Or at least that's what I tell him!
I will NOT be up at midnight. Somehow I never make it. Too darn old and tired!

AR- I will be praying for Tom. I hope everything goes well. Hugs,Love, Prayers and Pixie Dust to you and your family.

Wow! Ours doesn't have crap.. and some stingy bitty took every one of the 50 cent disney items and threw them in her cart and told the lady with her.. I'll make a fortune on ebay... to which my DS8 was mortified.. I very nicely told him....some people just are greedy that way honey.. you can't help that..but you can learn from it.. you don't have to be selfish like that!!!
