Yeah, I'm very lucky that both my boys like to spend time with me :cloud9: And I know it!! I even got a spontanious kiss good bye this morning when DS16 went to school :lovestruc And DS20 gives me big bear hugs all the time in the kitchen :lovestruc Honestly, I eat all that stuff up!!!

DS13 is the most affectionate boy I know. He gives spontaneous hugs all the time. DS12 still kisses me goodnight  Both boys like to hang out with me, but mostly DS12. He'll go just about anywhere with me or hang out in the kitchen.

WDWMom, that's so great :cloud9:

I have an aquaintance who's boys don't want to spend time with her. It's just so sad! I try not to talk about the things my DS16 and I do, because it makes her feel really bad...

But reinforces how lucky I feel..KWIM?

My DS is 16 and he and I do lots of fun stuff together. He doesn't want me around all the time, but he enjoys our outings. He's never been a huggy type of kid, but he'll surprise me every once in awhile and give me a hug for no reason. Of course, it isn't at a time where anyone will see him do it!

I do feel very lucky. Both boys can be cuddly too. I just hope it always stays that way and I wish DD was like them but she is more of a touch-me-not.

Well, I have so much on my list..but can't even write it down before it changes again.. OMG!!!

DS12 called me from school in tears.. he got sick at school....and that is so NOT like him..and he is my sentimental one and everything effects him...even when he is being a BIG BOY!!! He is my love me kid when NO one is around... otherwise it's not cool to hug on mom..
DS8 is my cuddle-bug.. he loves to show affection.. just ask his teachers and the principal.. they have all know him since I was pregnant with him... so he feels at home! The threat of going to the principal is nothing to him... it's a party w/ the candy drawer... LOL
DD14 is affectionate depends on her mood.. tonight she'll be moody because another game this week got cancelled... go figure..but at least they are thinking ahead of this storm..
DH is very affectionate....as am I... but right now.. I'm upset w/ him because my new dryer isn't working..worked for one load of towels..and than nothing... so we have to have a service call done tomorrow...
and there is crappy weather headed in...and I didn't get to wrap like I need...and I need to finish 200 pages this weekend for the gifts for DH and the kids....
and I could whine a bit more but my head hurts.. probably because I haven't had a moment to eat yet today..and it's 3pm....

Sorry your day isn't going to well Nancy! Here's to hoping it gets better and you can get things done soon.

Rebecca

Never did get a chance to post.

 Nan.

Little Bit forgot his bookbag so an extra trip to school was called for. Decide to hit the grocery store, just incase the weatherman is wrong - we are only supposed to get lots of rain - and that took longer than I expected.
Thought I had lots of time left and made cookies. My first batch last week was really gross:scared: like way too old of flour taste. This batch is pretty good, but I realized that I needed to leave the house for the allergy run five minutes later than I should have and left the cookies on the cooling rack. Luckily they are okay. Dunk them in milk, and you'll never know they dried out more than they should have.

Just got back from allergy run. Need to go clean up the kitchen. ICK.

My Eldest was my snuggle bunny as a baby but he outgrew it I guess. He will just now this past year hug me for no apparent reason. I hug back hard, just incase it's the last one.
My Little Bit was a hands-off baby but now he will just jump in my lap and snuggle. I can't sit without him being a cat.:cloud9: I'm gonna love every minute of it while I can.

It is gonna be a looooong night..
poor DS12... he hates being sick and whatever this is...cause a spike in his temp, sick...and than goes back to normal for a few hours... erk!!

Tomorrow they are suppose to be packing for the move from the old school to the new school... doesn't seem like DS will be helping with this venture... so I have an email out to have someone pack his stuff to move over to the new school....

Maybe I should just have DH go up first thing and pack up his stuff and just bring it home with us..and take him to the new school the first day.. yep, new school to go to..and they have NOT even had the chance to go through it yet... this should be an adventure!

Both boys had something earlier where they spiked up to 104 degrees, it would come back down and then spike again. Took them to the doctor and she said - "yup, it's a virus. No, we don't know which one, just give them motrin & tylenol to keep them comfortable. It'll go away by itself by the fourth day." FIFTY dollars to tell me to give the OTC stuff. Had to pay two co-pays as there were two children.

Yep, that is why I never take my kids to the doctor unless it lasts more than 5 days... unless it is of course a horrendous cough...because then it usually turns into strep or pneumonia....

DS8 was out almost 2 weeks last year... it was bad...and he was so sad...
DS12 is more po'd because he just said last night " I haven't missed any school for almost 2 years"... then he got sick today... I told him you never utter something that will jinx ya!

I think I'll try to nap after dinner so I can be up and not grouchy w/ DS through the night.... now I desperately need the repair guy to get my dryer fix tomorrow.... DH is bringing home a new power cord.... so maybe that will be the issue.. if NOT I'm going to be hurting someone by end of day tomorrow!!!!

 Awww Nan, sorry DS is having a tough time! Hope the night goes OK!!

I had a great date with DS16, and my girl looked great in her solo. She is a perfectionist, and felt she did terrible, but everyone thought it was really good!

so sorry Nan to hear that he's not feeling well.
hope you had a good night with him. hopefully you guys got some sleep.
my littleman had that last weekend. he came home from sick on friday and had the up and down fever for most of saturday. then it just went away:confused3
hope that dryer gets fixed real soon!
