DS12 to ride bus home since XC season is over (hope he does; it's only for 2 weeks and basketball tryouts start and practices) done

4pm leave for SECTIONALS.. DD is running VARSITY today!!! She should have run @ county but he called the other girls name..anyway set PJ off so much that she was hot to trot.. not only that is was raining badly...she was just overly PO'd... beat the girl he put into her spot by 1 minute 30 seconds.. and was actually only 14 seconds behind a second girl that ran Varsity.. So he had some splain to do to her.. PJ emailed him and he was very apologetic for messing up and applauded her for being so mature about it and not throwing a fit! Anyway, she is out to kick some more butt today!!! done; great run...but not enough to advance..

DsS has his last MS football game tonight too... so DH and the boys are gonna run from sectionals to the game.. I can NOT *but want to* because DD's XC team is going to dinner afterwards and she'll need a ride when the bus returns... DH and the boys are there now!! Starts in about 10 minutes!!!

He wanted to go to school. So Mommy took a nap.
They get their new books in reading on Tuesdays. He didn't want to miss that. My little non-reading rebel wanted his new book. I'm going to call the school soon and check in on him.

Ash, what kind did you end up getting? I remember one was too big-didn't fit in the garage and one was just right, but I can't remember which was which and I am just too lazy to read all the back threads.

Nan - way cool about the VARSITY!!

Rebecca - I'd pick shopping over cooking anyday. But I confess to being lazy - you are far from that - so take a day off and enjoy yourself.

Ash, what kind did you end up getting? I remember one was too big-didn't fit in the garage and one was just right, but I can't remember which was which and I am just too lazy to read all the back threads.

I think you are recalling someone else that just got a new car. Especially since our garage is too full of junk to even consider putting a car in it! We got a Volvo S60- I love it. We bought it from Carmax and it was the easiest, most painless car buying experience ever. They had a play area for the kids and it literally took 45 minutes from start to finish.

I haven't looked at one lately, but I remember wanting one in the worst way when I was younger. They were the boxiest looking cars, but I thought they were cool.

I NEVER thought I would want a Volvo. My mom and I didn't really like them before the new body style- the less boxy style. It just happened to be the right price, the right mileage, etc., etc., etc. And it turns out I really like it. Who knew?!

I really do love it- its so nice to drive! That's hysterical, the Hollvo! Ashvo doesn't have quite the same ring! DS names our cars, so I am waiting to see what he will name it.

I decided to go shopping. I went to 2 scrapbook stores in Lakeland- one is a newer one in the downtown area- Scrapbook Street that someone had mentioned on the boards. Very nice store with a very helpful person at the counter who was also a disboard member but didn't know about our creative community so I invited her to join us here (she hangs out on the cruise boards0.

Then I went to Violette's Stamp and Scrapbook Store. I have never been in a larger more overwhelming scrapbook store. They have 10 rooms full from floor to cieling of stuff. If they don't have something it would amaze me. I was amazed and didn't have money so I didn't spend much but it is omewhere i would like to visit again. Larry has to go to Lakeland at least once a year for a few days. I think I will tag along with him many times and do shopping even when we move on to other churches.
