So what is that? 'Cause I'm super nosey and that just sounds like a lot of fun.
Tag You're It Swap:
This is a swap from another board I am on. It is on a yahoo group so we use a database but the same thing could be done with someone good at updating starting things off. Everyone signs up and list 3 things they have pictures waiting to scrap (I said my puppy, moving to a new house, and Larry having his first church).
After everyone has signed up and the list of all the people and their topics is posted whoever is starting the swap makes some items. Generally we identify what needs to be made- in this case I need to make a tag (large or 2 medium), a title, and send 3 4x6 pieces of paper for mats/additional matching items. I can include anything else I would like to include. The title and tags can be homemade or store bought. Once I recieve a package I have 1 week to send out the next one.
There is no specific order so I can choose anyone on the list who has not recieved anything. Everyone must recieve 1 set before anyone gets a second (in my case I am 2nd to last so I know who I have to send to since she will send back to the person who began in all).
This is the second time I have done it. Since it stretches over a long period of time (2 months for just 8 people) the hardest things is sometimes you will get your kit when you are really busy. When that has happened in the past everyone has been good about it.
I wouldn't mind co-ordinating such a thing on the boards starting in January- we mail by regualr USPS mail in envelopes so my postage will be less than $2 for this one but since everone has to keep it going I would insist that if someone had not successfully swaped before they wait until they had finished a traditional swap of some type or have them start the whole thing so we know they are actually able to keep up with what is going on.
I would also limit the number of people in each group- people can post when they are going on vacations since the biggest problem is you don't know who will be before you so you can't make thins ahead of time (unless you want lots of leftovers) I have been thinking about who's topics I would most like to do and actually I probably would have choosen this one or the person who was tagged first anyway.
It is fun and we generally post our photos of the layouts we make with the kits once they are done.
