I just got around to posting the Christmas Golf Cart Parade video and I saw you there BIG AS LIFE roll by in front of the camera.

As of right now I won't be specific about your location in the video/parade/timeline ...

But why did you make DW ride in the the back seat of the golf cart facing the rear?

It would have been more appropriate if SHE drove and YOU sat in back!

I know I'll catch it when I see you next month. I hope I survive.

Ed Lucille chooses to ride there . Katie insists that as she has a license she will drive. She just looks at Lucille when she tries to move her away from the drivers position. Also Sky wants to sit with her so I would be on the back seat all by myself

Day 14
Events today sent this trip for us onto a whole new direction. After seeing to the girls and some refining of Bama Ed's Golf Cart Decorating Plan, We were off to the Reception Center in Disney Springs. After checking in there we were refered to the Ticket Center nearby. Our wait wasn't long and we got our New AP's.
As we were both Hungry we decided to hit up Deluxe Burger for a late Lunch . This place has my personal seal of approval. The return trip is where things interesting. For several years now Lucille has had a problem that gotten progressively worse. She has ignored my advice and requests to seek out qualified medical treatment in favor of herbal remedies and other avenues she determined would work. Our trek to the Fort W bus stop took @ 45 min and required 6 stops to "Exercise her Leg " and let the pain subside.
This has been our pattern for several trips now. This year I decide that I was done. Instead of spending the trip angry and frustrated I spoke the truth . We came to the conclusion that after New Years we will be headed for home. Final decision is Jan 5th

am sorry your trip is cut short, but hey you got billing in the golf cart parade. Hopefully Lucille will be seeing a dr. For some reason I believe she needs a bionic knee. My mom and dad had both knees done, so might be a good decision. Good luck.

Kris it is her knee. She did see our Dr after 2021 Dismeet who referred her to Ortho. Knee is full of arthritis. She elected to go steroid shots route and 2 weeks before we left limp came back and she swore she would be fine. Only Took 8 years to get Cleopatra to this point and for me to say enough is enough.

Day 15
Today was a Magic Kingdom day. The Past has shown me that anything beyond 4 hours is pushing it. So arriving at 11 am made our 3pm Dinner reservation at Tony's about right. We did manage to hit The Jingle Cruise. While on the standby line I did see that both Tiggerdad and Teamubr are both represented on the Medicine Cabinet, I'll let them determine who represents First Aid vs LAST AID . Sorry no pictures but line was moving a little too fast. Then it was Tiki Room followed by Pirates of Caribbean for me then Country Bears.. The Line for Haunted Mansion was over 2 hours so no go there .
A quick trip and look around Fantasy Land and Philharmagic before heading to TONY'S.
Tony's has been a perennial favorite for Lucille until our last trip. Our last visit we both got the Chicken Cutlet Parm and thought it came out of a Marie Callandars. box.. Today was a vast improvement . I did the Shrimp Scampi , my only complaint was they only gave me 3 mussels. Lucille had the Spaghetti and Turkey meatballs and she was happy with both . Coming back to our site the girls got an extra dog park visit while Lucille set up their bowls.

Sorry we are going to miss you, but I understand. DW's knee isn't great either, but I finally got her to see a Dr. when she realized the walking she would want to do in Europe next summer. He knee doesn't sound as bad as Lucille's. DW plans on working half the time we are at the Fort next month so not as much of a concern.

Jim Lucille's has been progressively getting worse for last 8 years. Today walking more than 100 yards is a major problem. getting it taken care of sooner rather than later solves more problems in the long run.

I completely understand. Let her know most people I personally know wondered why they put it off so long. Many places are doing it mow as an outpatient or overnight stay.

Day 16 & 17
These were supposed to be Animal Kingdom and DHS days respectfully. Instead they turned into down days to rest her knee.
Day 17 did see us venture out as we had Reservations for Beaches and Cream. We left extra early in order to tour The Boardwalk and Yacht and Beach Clubs decorations. Bussing over to The Boardwalk from Magic Kingdom was easy. Once inside the lobby we started looking for the Gingerbread display. After walking around and checking many of the Common areas with no results I asked a CM about THEM. The young man advised me they had in fact for all 3 resorts been moved to the Beach Club. Okay down to lakeside we went. We did spend some time checking out a few of the shops and the menu at Trattoria al Forno and Lucille noticed the Boat for Yacht and Beach Clubs coming towards the dock. So a boat ride it was. Once over at Y&B Clubs we did a quick recon to locate Beaches and Cream then headed off to the Beach Club. The Display was Impressive despite being extremely scaled back. This year only the Carousel was on display. The gingerbread Replica of the Boardwalk Resort was not here.


Moving back to the Yacht Club we decided to go check out the lobby . Along the way checked out the menus for the Ale & Compass and the Yachtsman Steakhouse.
in the Lobby they did have the Railroad village of the 3 resorts an we did did spend a few minutes watching it


By now it was time to head for our ADR . The Jury is deadlocked on Beaches and Cream. Lucille had a Chocolate Shake and French Dip Sandwich which she was favorably impressed. I on the other hand had the Ruben and was very disappointed on every level. I will go back but that Ruben was so bad I know I will try something very different.
