We arrived yesterday afternoon and went to EPCOT for a while last night. Today I was bad and slept until 8:30 AM, ugh  but we were at the parks by 10:30 AM, yikes I thought. Boy was I mistaken. We stayed until almost 4 and basically walked on to everything. We headed to MGM for a dinner at Hollywood and Vine and were seated early. We only did Walt's One Man's Dream because this park was more corwded. The cherubs were not being so angelic, too much Disney, heat, and not enough sleep! We headed home after this. So some are sleeping, some are watching the game-Go SOX :wizard: , and I am supposed to be doing my homework.....wanted to send an email about how happy I am with the crowds. The heat however was a shock! I could never come down here in the summer, without suffering from heat stroke! See you in a week. :sunny:

We're headed down this Friday and I CAN'T WAIT!

Glad to hear that maybe the crowds are easing up a bit ... people have been reporting that the past 2 weeks have been very crowded! I also heard that it's been pretty hot too! The forecast for our stay is mid to upper 80s everyday. Hot stuff! :sunny:

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

WOW! THANKS FOR THE GREAT NEWS about the crowds! As WeLoveThePoly said (BTW, "Hi, Poly!"), we've been hearing the opposite lately. We were beginning to fret, and boy how I hate to fret. :sad1:

Have a great time with your cherubs (and I thought 4 was a lot!)
Sunshine (sunburn, heat exhaustion), here we come!!:sunny:

Thanks for the update. I'm also really happy to hear the crowds are dropping. Hopefully, the crowds created from the storms rescheduling is over, and we're back to regular light October crowds. Leaving in a matter of hours, now. Still can't believe it's here. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Wow, the crowds must have really dropped off for you--that's great! I am concerned about the heat down there. We're trying to decide between the end of Sept and sometime in Oct next year. Have a great remainder of your trip!

Please keep updating this thread! This is one of the weeks we are looking at next year...but, concerned about the crowds and heat...

Have fun!

I can't believe it's almost here - and good news about the crowds!

Of course, once MY whole family gets there, it'll seem crowded again - but in a happy way :teeth: !

I can hardly wait - Saturday we'll be sitting down to lunch at Restaurant Akershus! YEEEEE!

This post helped take me out of my panic mode! We knew we'd have a blast crowds or no crowds, but knowing that things may have settled a bit is great. All those posts from last week got me a little worked up!

I can't believe the weather either! I was planning on bringing jeans and a few pair of shorts, but now it will be the reverse.

Back to packing! Thanks for the update!

I would still either bring a sweatshirt or plan on buying one. If you are the type of people to get out early in the am or stay out late in the pm, the temp dropped into the low 50's, which even to us NJ-ians is chilly.

As far as the heat, it wasn't as bad as all of our previous June trips. Mid to high 80's. I wore tank tops or t shirts, but was never sweating hot like before. Perfect for the water parks too!

Have a great time!

WHEW! I was worried about the crowds too! Thank you for this news!
