at disney now. who else?

this is oogies husband. the parks are wayyyy more crowded than they should be now. even the cms are not sure why it is. we went in mid feb, may, september of 2004 and this is 10 times worse. our server at b&c said he went monday to mk and ended up parking in a lot he had never heard of it was that crowded. we left mk at 10 today and stich was at 50 minutes. I think the weak dollar has something to do with it because it seems more than half the people here are foreign and most seem to be from south or latin america. we did not make alot of ps because we thought it would be empty and are paying for it now. we have been shut out of alot of restaurants. the parks are on value seasonclosing hours now but the parks are full so when we went to downtown disney in our car we had to give up. there were literally hundreds of cars looking for that rare spot. pofq is as beautiful as usual and we love it here. on a side note, stich really sucked. i thought people were exagerrating when they said it was bad but even with fast passes it was a total waste of time. the worst ride at disney for sure.

I'm here until January 22--staying with my DD at her townhome which is located behind MK. It's not exactly like being 'on property'--but it's close.

the kids love the pofq and the pool. we are in building 6 now which is not as good as 5 but still not too bad. we went to this resort in september and love it so much we decided to come back(that and the AP rate sure helps). Many of the cms have stated they expect it to go dead here after this coming weekend but we will see because I am still seeing an enormous amount of foreigners here. going to mk soon so I will let you know how the parks go.

We were at WDW last month (Dec. 12-19) and found the crowds to be bigger than in past Decembers. We have gone to WDW each December since 1992, so we do have a reference. We also found that many of the guests were foreigners and I have to believe the weak dollar has something to do with that.

I am from Canada and the exchange rate for US money has not been this good for years. It made a big difference on the cost of our trip last week.
