We are new owners at the BLT and this is our 2nd day here. My husband just took a very small strand of holiday lights and put them on the balcony to make it officially home. I love it!

Thank you for posting this. We were thinking about trying to decorate as well. We're hoping for a pool side room to be able to see lights on other balconies.
We've been staying in a Boardwalk view villa for years now in December and have always put up Christmas lights. I love coming from DHS or EP on the boat and seeing our balcony all lit up. This year, due to the new booking system, we are waitlisted from exactly 11 months 9 a.m., for a BW view next week. Obviously I won't be getting it since I haven't heard a thing, so I was thinking of skipping the lights this year, but I picked some up in NJ the other day and I am definitely going to put them up. I'm just hoping we'll be able to see them from the pool or some garden area somewhere.

No, there is not an electrical outlet. We actually had a battery powered set of lights. If you had a 12-16 foot extension cord, that would work, too. There is an outlet at the desk right inside the sliding glass door.
Somebody needs to teach me how to post pictures!! Also, I have only seen one other person on the opposite side of this building with lights. I will take pictures of the hotel decorations, though!
I am very un-techyy, so I'm sure these directions are a little convoluted, but since no one else offered I figured I'd give it a try.
OK
First> your image must be stored elsewhere on the web, such as http://photobucket.com/ or some other image hosting site that allows sharing.
Second> once you have uploaded your image onto the other site, copy the link they give you. It should start with http://.
Third> Select the postcard icon (it will say insert image when you mouse over it) in the DIS message box. Then past the link from your image hosting site.
Ok, let's give this a try. I've never done the on-line picture thing so this is new for me, too. This is the view from our room at BLT:
Let me know if that works. If so, and if I can get my DS13 to give me his computer long enough to swipe some more pictures, I'll see if I can get some holiday pictures. I don't have anything on my laptop!!
We loved this room and the view. We are ready to go back!
