ASSports ???

We stayed at ASMu in 98, and were thinking of ASSports for our next one.
I know it is one of the older resorts there, but can you tell its old?
Is it dumpy compared to the other resorts?
I dont want to stay if it is dirty and chipped paint everywhere.

What about the staff? Are they as great as the other resorts?

We stayed there this past Easter and heading back out in a few days. The place looks fine... I really didn't see any wear and tear. The carpet looks new. The room looks fine. The service is fine as well...very helpful and friendly.

One thing I didn't like about this resort is the food court. Comparing it to ASMo, this doesn't have a lot of selection. But is is doable for lunch and dinner. We didn't eat there for breakfast, but we will on this coming trip.

We really liked the themeing. The kids like to play in the football field. My son said "I only want to stay at the ASSports." And I say...split the stay between CBR and the AS. So we're compromising...and he is only 6! This trip is their trip too! We all want to be happy!

We have stayed there three visits, four different rooms. My kids loved it! We liked the low price, and the "fun" factor.

We have stayed in Tennis, Basketball, Surfs Up and Football Buildings...

We have stayed in the football building each time (3). Once at the front overlooking the football field. Last 2 times in back - really nice and peaceful. Each time we have gone - they were always doing touch-up painting. I think you will really enjoy it. Have fun!

I'll be staying there too. From what I seen from my last trip, it looks fine. Its not that old. Look at the contemporary, its one of the oldest and still looks good. I think they make a very good point to keep their resorts in excellent condition.

I've stayed at those 2 All Stars-Music and Sports-and much prefer Sports. Primarily because I prefer the way Sports is laid out around the main building, not "bowling-alley-like" as Music seemed to be. Everything just seems closer. Also I didn't encounter the groups of older teens with "non-Disney" words, if you know what I mean, at Sports.

We have stayed at almost all the disney resorts. The sports is great...conveniently laid out. No matter what building you are in you are just a few minutes away from all the action.

Great food in the food court like made to order pastas, burgers, chicken, nachos, taco salad...carved meats with the best mashed potatoes, gravy and veggies, cheese, fruit, bakery, ice cream, anything to drink.

We prefer the sports over any of the moderate resorts (just no value for the buck at the moderates...and the food courts aren't near as good). If we don't stay at the sports, we stay at a deluxe.

Just back from All Star Sports. This was our second trip to that resort. It is very clean and well maintained. For the amount of traffic that goes through that resort, it is amazing it looks that good. No problems with the staff, I found housekeeping to be very good.

The layout is better than the other All Star resorts. Easy walk from any of the buildings, not like Music.

However, at any given time there are tons of kids in any of the value resorts. It depends on when you are there. Right now a lot of class trips with mega teenagers everywhere. There are all types of sport competetions year round with large group of kids (baseball, football, soccer players and cheerleaders). Even with the large number of teens at the pool until late at night, we were undisturbed by them. We had a preferred room near the pool and with the door closed, it blocked out the noise from the pool.

For the money, I think the All Star Sport is a good value.
