ASMu questions

:confused3 Okay, I got a quote today with the Disney Visa discount for a November trip. We already did Disney in April this year, so I really need to cut some corners if I'm going to sell this to my husband! ASMu is $227 cheaper than CBR, and I really loved ASMo, so I'm thinking of going for it. Here are my questions:

What building is closest to ASMo? My boys love the movies theme, but the resort was sold out for our dates. I also really liked the ASMo food court - I imagine Music would be the same, but just in case....

Can you get a rollaway bed at the values? I can't remember if there would be enough room - my two oldest tend to fight if they're in the same bed! I could put the baby in with my oldest (then I wouldn't need room for the pak n play), and give my middle one the rollaway....

Finally, should I just suck up the $227 and go for the moderate? We loved CBR this spring

I love All Star Music.

Calypso #10 (preferred) and Jazz #9 are very close to the All Star Movies Mighty Ducks section. You just have to cross Stardust lane --

Here is a map of the All Star resorts:

Sorry, as far as know Disney has very few roll aways.

A lot guests bring a twin size air mattress when children do not want to share a bed.

Dh and I stayed in a newly refuburbished in the Calypso building last September. (2006).

We really enjoyed he new decor and the privacy curtain by the vanity.
music is the only Vaule resort so far that has the privacy curtain. The mods also have the curtain.(I am hoping Sports will also get them .They just started refubishing all of the rooms at Sports and are slated to be finished Feb. 2008)

Here is a website with photos of the newly refurbished rooms at All Star Music.

Look at the Jazz Inn section with new posted:

All Star Music is my favorite Disney owned hotel.

Please see my info thread for more of the reasons why I enjoy All Star Music so much.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

Thanks for all your info! We've stayed at Movies twice and really enjoyed it. We bumped up to moderate when #3 came along, but I don't know that the rooms are really all that much bigger. We spend very little time there anyway. I loved the Values theming - it just seems so "Disney" to me - I'm always surprised to hear people that don't like them!

The air mattress is a great idea - I never thought of that.

The privacy curtain is a big plus! I'm usually the first one up in the morning, and I always go and grab a "takeout" breakfast for everyone and then they eat in the room while we get ready for the parks. I love being able to turn on a light to get ready, and not disturb anyone else.

I can't wait to check out your info thread.

Thanks again!

we stayed at all star music 2 years ago (our first time onsite) and couldnt fault it. No issues with the busses and a great foodcourt. This year were a POR, but looking at the new renevated rooms at ASMu we might be back there in the future. The rooms look so much nicer than when we went!

Just back from ASmu and we walked to ASMo to take pictures . it really wasn't a long walk we were in Calypso building 1 . We were concerned with the all stars and we usually stay at POR but we LOVED the all star music . We had a suite and it was the best Disney trip we have had in a long time.

Can't wait to visit the ASMU again. The kids had lots to do by the pool and will love it.
