Is there a way that I can pull out a chair in front of my room at night and have a drink? I know that I have always been able to do this at POR...just wonder if it's possible at a Value...

The door to your room will open out to either a sidewalk (if you are on the main floor) or a shared walkway with a railing, where people walk along to get to the stairs or elevators. There is not a lot of space between your door and the railing. However, I certainly have seen people sitting out there (on chairs from the room) talking and drinking (though I have no idea what they were drinking). Just expect that people will be walking past you and fairly close to you.

We sat outside one afternoon to watch the storm. We just sat on the ground in the little indentation where the doors were. People walking by thought it was great. I don't know how much room there is for a chair, but I have seen people out talking and leaning on the rainings. There is also the option to just walk down to one of the sidewalks and sit on a bench.

Either way, enjoy yourself, your on vacation.

I think having a quiet drink outside your door is generally acceptable, but when people start smoking and getting loud it becomes a problem. And banging the door into the safety latch Yikes!!!!

I am waaay past rowdiness...LOL. I am talking about some "the kids are asleep and I'd like to unwind with a stiff drink and some peace and quiet" time.
