This is for anyone who has been lucky enough to stay in both of these resorts. We are planning our next trip for October next year and are trying to decide where to stay. I loved ASMO but would like to know what pop century is like as this is also a possabillty. :)

Thanks

Michelle

Hi Michelle

We have stayed at ASMu (not ASMo) & Pop Century. I loved both of these resorts but Pop is my very favourite. I think the rooms are meant to be a little smaller at Pop, but tbh I didn't notice. The theming at Pop is very cool - we got to stop in the 1950s building which I was very excited about as I had my fingers crossed for that one! The 50s building is also handy for the food court, reception and shop. The food court was very similar to ASMu (and therefore I assume ASMo as well) as was the shop and reception. I think Pop had the edge for me because of the music from the decades they played around the reception building, and the fun theming.

Hope someone who has stayed at both will be able to answer more fully. Have a great trip wherever you decide to stay.

Stayed at POP for 17 nights Christmas/New Year just gone - we loved it. We were lucky enough to be in the "mickey" block overlooking the "football" courtyard. The children loved it and it took some convincing that we should try somewhere else this time!! We are staying in Movies in August - so will be able to compare then. However we did stay in the Sports back in 97 and loved that as well. If you've already stayed in ASMO go for POP you'll not be disappointed.

Will be the first time on-site for us in September and we were stuck for choice between the two. Opted for ASMO because I thought my daughter would relate to it's theme better, but personally would have preferred POP because I could then relate to the theme better.

Mind you for a 9yr old my DD does do quite a good rendition of Can't Get No Satisfaction :)

I haven't stayed at ASMO, but we stayed at the Pop in May and loved it :)

We were offered a choice of decades but chose the 50's block as I had read some hotel reviews on the boards and most people praised the 50's.

We had a room backing on to hourglass lake and at night we had a great view of the fireworks at Epcot and Magic Kingdom :flower:
