ASM & POP Room Amenities??

Hey guys--

My GF and I are planning on booking a trip late July, we are fresh out of college, so we will be staying at a value. I was trying to find out what they have in the rooms--minifriges, hairdryers, coffeemakers, etc.

I have seen other posts/sites that mention minifriges on request? But I wanted to get it straight from the horse's mouth--so has anyone stayed at ASM or POP lately that can tell me what was included in the room??

Since you asked about "values" the answer unfortunately no, no and no. IIRC you can request a hairdryer but they don't offer a coffemaker in the values at all.

Value resorts offer a minifridge for $10.60 per night. Moderate and Deluxe will offer the hairdryer and minifridge free of charge and a coffeemaker free as well but "on request" and only if available. I was able to get a coffeemaker at CBR and CS but not at POR -

The main page here as well as allearsnet offer all the details on the various resorts.

If you go at a slow time and or can get a code discount or AAA discount you may be able to get a moderate resort at about the price of a value. This would give you the amenities you need.

Or you could bring your own hairdryer and get a stryafoam cooler at the grocery ~ done that many times.!

I just came back at the end of April. Fridges are delivered to your room upon request (if you have Medical reasons they are Free)...otherwise they are $10.70 per day.

There was a hairdryer in our room in the Dalmations building of All Star Movies. Someone posted here that all values didn't have hairdryers, but they are wrong. I lugged mine down there and I didn't need to.

There was no coffeepot.

There is a very small safe in the room that is free, but if you lose the key it will cost you $35. It will only fit something like a small cell phone, money, medications...just small things. I would say the safe was 12" x 10" x 3-4" wide.

There was an iron hanging on the wall.

Other than that, just beds, TV/Remote, Table and 2 chairs, nightstand, chest of drawers. The sink is outside the bathroom and there is a place to hang clothes with a shelf on top.

Bathroom is the typical bathroom---but it's the size of a small closet. There is soap in a dispenser hanging on the wall in the shower. There is also a clothes line that you can pull across in the top of the shower.

Yes - originally ASsPorts, ASMu and some of AsMU had the mounted hairdryers on the bathroom walls but POP does not. Unfortunately, as the hairdryers "die" they are not being replaced at the values. If you don't bring one and don't have one you can call housekeeping and if one is available you can have if for the lenght of stay - if not - it seems - you are out of luck.

I was just at POP in March/April. Correct: no hair dryers or fridges (except upon request, of course). I was staying with a friend and found the safe (although a tad small) easily fit our cell phones and extra cash/traveler's checks. No coffee pot either.
