Asking question for DH: college football watching

Okay my DH and I are huge University of Georgia fans. When we planned this trip we went back and forth about the timing and our budget allowed for us to afford a Sept. cruise. Of course this is prime college football time. We realized later that we would be missing the UGA vs. South Carolina game which is going to be huge this year with Spurrier coaching them.

So my Dh's question is does the cruise ship play any of the college games? And more importantly do you think we would have a chance to see the UGA game? Also it's on ESPN at 530pm on the 10th.

thanks

Diversions may have it on.. Are you on the 7 day leaving Saturday or the 3 day that left on Thursday? Not sure what time Diversions opens on embarktion day....

I think you have a pretty good shot at seeing the game in Diversions especially since it is on ESPN. Since the game starts after the lifeboat drill, I am sure they would love to have you watching the game and running up a bar tab.

When we sailed in Nov 2003, my husband caught quite a few games that week - even at sea! After sailing on may cruise lines, Disney made my husband happiest! He even agreed to go this fall - keeping fingers crossed he has the same luck this time! :cheer2:

This is SO good to know! My husband is a huge sports fan and has already been asking questions about watching games while on the ship.

I also think you have a great shot at seeing it, especially since you will still be close to the US they should be able to get the signal. Once your away from the US, they seem to pickup the closest signal that is when it is really difficult to tell what you will get.
